Super j cup 4th stage

This topic has been done quite a few times already, but I'm going to try to put a new spin on it. Instead of the typical "this would be good, that would suck" bit. I'm going to take a look at everything involved in the tournament itself.

First off is who should host it. 1994 had New Japan, 1995 had WAR and 2000 had M Pro, since the concept seems to be a new host each year, and All Japan and NOAH seem to have sub par junior divisions, I'd say either Toryumon or Osaka pro would be logical choices.

Okay now who should book the tournament? whoever gets the task should do two things, 1. Not be in the tournament himself, and 2. Have a good history of good booking.

The most important part of any junior tournament is wrestlers. I'm going to group them in 3 groups.

1. Welcome to J Cup, Wrestlers who havn't been in one yet.

Dragon Kid, his flipping can really pop a crowd.

Little Guido, don't let his ECW image fool you, he's a former wrestler in UWFI and can really go on the ground and is nice diverse wrestler

Dick Togo, a great brawler and some decent skills

Elix Skipper, another wrestler who's crappy portrayal leaves his skills pretty unknown.

Tatsuhito Takaiwa, like Guido, he adds a nice diverse style to the typical high flying

Koji Kanemoto, one of the best wrestlers in New Japan alone.

Minoru Tanaka, almost single handly saved the New Japan Jr. divison

2. Welcome Back, wrestlers who've been here before

Massaki Mochkizuki, he's gotten a lot better since 1995

Curry Man, is a lot better than his match with Onryo made him look

CIMA, put on some great matches in 2000

SUWA, should have gone farther

Tiger Mask IV, see above.

3. Don't Come Back, wrestlers who need to stay out.

Jyushin Lyger, he's won twice, let him present the trophy to the winner or something

Great Sasuke, we already know how good he is, pass the torch to another awsome wrestler

Gran Hamada, J Cup is where many young guys get shots to become stars, he's a star already

Ricky Fuji, he sucks

feedback is welcome

Uhh...

There was no J-Cup in '01 (not that there's a Dr. Wanger, but...).

Wag and Shocker were in the BoSJ tournament, not the J-Cup.  Totally different things.

if the J Cup is a tourny of champions then Shockerdeserves the spot since he is the current CMLL Semi Completo Campion

if there will be tag matches then have Los Guerreros de Inferno (Tarzan Boy's team) vs Kaienti.  Would be a dream match.

but Mascara Magica seems to be getting a push with his win over Hijo de Santo in the Cybernetico Tourny

Toryumon to host and CIMA to win after Lyger SELLS a Mad Splash in a rematch from the last.

CIMA should've won that match and I'm still buzzing about it.

If Vince McMahon would let him I'd like to see Billy Kidman in there. He could have a hell of a match with guys like TM IV, CIMA, and Dragon Kid

If I was booking it I would have - Jushin Liger, Minoru Tanaka, Tiger Mask IV, Dick Togo, El Felino, Ultimo Guerrero, CIMA, Dragon Kid, Milano Collection A.T, Takehiro Murahama, Super Delphin, Asian Cougar, Tajiri, Kidman, Naomichi Marufuji & Kaz Hyashi.

For the finals, have Liger put over Marufuji.

My roster would consist of:

CIMA

Tiger Mask 4

Minrou Tanaka

Masahito Kakihara

Koji Kanemoto

Dragon Kid

Curry Man

Billy Kidman

Little Guido

Super Crazy

Tajiri

Massaki Mochizuki

Tatsuhito Takaiwa

Elix Skipper

Kendo Ka Shin

Ricky Marvin

I'd probably have Tiger Mask VS Kidman as the finals with Tiger Mask going over.  If Vince wants to re-establish the Cruiserweight title, he ought to let Kidman (I think he has it now) deffend it in places like M Pro and Toryumon and let wrestlers from those fed come to WWF. I'd love to see CIMA vs Kidman on RAW.
