Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted September 30, 2003 Bad News Brown / Bad News Allan- Good to work with. He was much like Dr. D in his mannerisms and wasn’t used properly in the WWF. Vince McMahon had told him that he’d go over Hogan and be the first black World Champion, but didn’t follow through on it. He feels that Vince missed the boat on that because it would have drawn. Thinks that Bad News did the right thing in beating the shit out of Vince when he found out that he only got about 10% of what Roddy Piper got for their match at Wrestlemania 6 (Something in the neighborhood of $50,000 for Bad News and $500,000 for Piper). I take it this is why BNB is being subbed by Akeem for the past few days?
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2003 I take it this is why BNB is being subbed by Akeem for the past few days? I'm almost certain Bad News had left the company by this time so Akeem was brought in to replace him against Jake. I had heard the same story about Vince bringing him in to face Hogan at WrestleMania IV and failing not only to do that but to provide him with any kind of push outside of the house show rivalry with Savage during his first title run. I believe it was from his interview on the LAW a few years back.
