The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2003 (edited) Disclaimer: Okay guys...this is chapter one of my writing project that i spoke of a few weeks ago. I hope you like how everything is progressing so far...even though it has not really progressed much. Any feedback would be appreciated as the chapter is smaller in word count than a n00b JL match NOTE: THIS IS BASICALLY A FANFIC... Chapter One: The 13th Hour July 27th – New York City, New York – 9:47 PM The 13th Hour – Madison Square Garden “MY GOD!” screams Jayson Grant, Revolution Wrestling Federation announcer, as one of their best, Axis, gets his shoulder up just in the nick of time. The crowd explodes as his partner…the Cyclone Comet…comes off the top turnbuckle and catches one of his opponents, the sadistic Molock, with a high cross body splash that puts both men down as Molock’s partner, Angelous, enters the ring and pulls the recovering Axis off the mat. Angelous wraps his hand around Axis’ throat, causing the crowd to boo in anticipation of a chokeslam. Angelous lifts Axis off the canvas and holds him into the air… …but Cyclone Comet comes from behind Angelous and swings his arm up between the legs of Angelous, causing quite the sensation to ripple through every man in the crowd as Angelous drops to his knees in crotch-agonizing pain, dropping Axis back down onto his feet in the process. “Angelous is in a world of hurt!” Grant proclaims, but his announcing partner NTD interrupts. “That’s so much more than hurt…he could have torn his pants there!” he points at his monitor as Grant drops his head in shame. Back in the ring, Comet and Axis have Angelous on his feet, though not under his own power as of yet, as he is still feeling the effects Comet’s shot from earlier. Nick Soapdish, the referee, can only watch in awe as the men fight, stuck in tornado tag team rules, allowing all four men to roam throughout the ringside area. Comet whips Angelous towards the ropes, with Axis catching him as he bounces back, flipping his body over his head and dropping him down on his back, slamming him down hard with a powerslam. Axis falls over the top of Angelous and goes for a pin attempt… One… The crowd chants along… Two… “Wait! What is going on?” the words explode from Jayson Grant’s mouth as Silencer, another RWF wrestler, pulls the ref out of the ring and clocks him with a hard right hand. Soapdish falls to the floor outside the ring as Silencer dives in the ring, only for Comet and Axis to catch him, attacking with kicks. TWANG! Comet drops to the mat as a steel chair, weilded by Molock, connects with his back. Axis turns to face him and catches the chair right between his eyes. “Silencer came out of nowhere and attacked the referee, and now The Fallen are laying waste to Comet and Axis, almost knocked into unconsciousness with those vile chairshots!” Grant cannot stop screaming as Axis is lifted off his feet and drilled into the canvas by an Angelous chokeslam. “Where are the members of Uprising? They should be out here helping Comet and Axis right now!” Grant continues his banter and as if almost on cue, the RevTron comes to life to show the evil mexican El Luchadore Magnifico standing outside the Uprising lockerroom, the door swung open to show the members of the Phoenix Uprising laying unconscious. Magnifico laughs a bit to himself, pulling from behind his back a baseball bat. The laughter gets louder as he drops the bat and walks out of frame, leaving the scene to fade to black as the action returns back to the ring. “What is going on?” is all Grant can ask as Comet is pulled up to his feet by Molock…before his head is shoved down and Molock hooks his arms up over his back, pulling Comet’s body into the air upside down. Comet is now completely vertical as Molock spins his body a full half turn and leaps into the air, falling into a sitting position and dropping Comet’s body down into the canvas, his face and chest almost bouncing off the mat from the force. “CATASTROPHE DRIVER! Comet and Axis have been left lying in the ring by the Fallen and Silencer!” “Jayson…Look!” NTD screams as Magnifico finally appears in the ring, sliding in and getting to his feet. The four men…Silencer, Molock and Angelous, and El Luchadore Magnifico…all stand in the ring with their hands raising in victory over the bodies of Cyclone Comet and Axis. The crowds boos are almost deafening as the men walkout one by one, leaving the two men as Soapdish is finally able to get into the ring and attend to Comet and Axis, screaming to the back for medical assistance. Axis lays on the ring apron, blood dripping down his face, only a few feet away from Cyclone Comet, who has barely moved an inch since Molock’s Catastrophe Driver. July 27th – New York City, New York – 11:24 PM Pheonix Uprising Locker Room – Madison Square Garden “How did this happen, Randolph?” “Would you knock off that ‘Randolph’ crap! My name is Drew!” came the response from Pheonix Uprising leader Rane, still holding his head after the attack from Magnifico almost two hours ago. Comet just shakes his head in disbelief as Rane continues his explanation. “I opened the locker room door and that’s all I can remember…” “Did you see anything, Outcast?” Axis stands over his teammate. “Well I was across the room, and after I saw Rane drop like a stone I ran over to check it out and that’s when I saw that Mexican punk swinging around a Louisville Slugger like he’s El Dimaggio. So…I tried to stop him, but when Merc over here, ” Outcast’s hand motions over toward the last member of the group, Mercury. “When he showed up I got distracted, and Magnifico must have gotten a good shot in because I don’t remember a thing after I saw him arrive…” Mercury jumps to his feet and cuts him off. “Don’t try and pin this on me. I put up just as much a fight as you…except it took more than one shot to put me down…” He pulls up his shirt to show off two circular bruises on his chest. Rane shoves Mercury out of the way and steps up onto the closest bench, causing his already seven foot tall figure to nearly touch the ceiling. “Look…all that matters is that these four guys took us to school and they taught us one thing……that revenge will be the sweetest part of all…” He smiles and pats Axis on the back, causing him to wince momentarily in pain. The five men laugh a bit to each other as Rane steps down. “Besides…I have a plan…” July 28th – Undisclosed Location – 1:15 AM “Good work, we are one step closer to our goal” a voice ripples out of the shadows as The Fallen, Silencer, and El Luchadore Magnifico look on. Smiles adorn their faces as they celebrate the first victory of what could be a long road ahead of them. “I can not believe that was as easy as it was, they dropped like stones.” Molock laughs out loud and pats his partner Angelous on the back, christening some beer with Silencer, who is still in deep discussion with Magnifico. “What do you suppose we do next?” Silencer looks into the masked man’s eyes. “Podemos conseguir sus perras y sus mujeres y partido toda la noche larga!” Magnifico’s laughter echoes through the room and into the shadows, where the voice returns. “No…I do not think we will be doing that. At least…not yet…” the voice causes Magnifico and Silencer to continue their evil laughter, while Angelous and Molock look on. “I have no clue what that guy just said…but I’m sure it will be fun!” Molock speaks and both members of the Fallen join in on the laughter as they continue to discuss plans for the next night. July 28th – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – 9:00 PM RWF Storm – First Union Center “Ladies and Gentleman last night their may very well have been a changing of the guard as the members of Phoenix Uprising were brutally attacked by the Fallen, Silencer, and El Luchadore Magnifico! How will the Uprising members react…stay –“ “Wait a minute,” NTD cuts off Grant in mid-sentence as RWF Storm goes on the air, “I just received word that Phoenix Uprising have arrived to the First Union Center!” The RevTron shows the garage of the First Union Center as a long black limo pulls in, being trailed by a small blue and white motorcycle being ridden expertly by Cyclone Comet, who whirls it around to the door of the limo as it opens and the other four members of the Uprising climb out. A camera follows as they walk through the building, past various wrestlers and crew members, heading toward the ring. “They’re coming out here!” NTD almost screams as “Americana” by the Offspring explodes over the PA system and the curtain flies back to reveal Phoenix Uprising to the crowd. The cheers are almost deafening as fans chant and show their support for the group. As they hit the ring, Rane grabs a microphone from a ringside attendant and quiets the audience down. “All I have to say is that last night we got punked out. We were not prepared for this sort of alliance to come calling at the doors of the Uprising, and it took us off guard. But let me tell you….” Suddenly Cyclone Comet grabs the microphone and climbs the corner of the ring, looking out to the still explosive crowd. “What Randolph is trying to say…is that LAST NIGHT…a great INJUSTICE OCCURRED! A hideous evil appeared from places that we could not even comprehend…and we lost a battle! But FEAR NOT, CITIZENS! For I…CYCLOOOOOONE COMET am here to protect and serve along with my fellow prevailers of justice of the Phoenix Uprising!” The crowd is almost nuclear now as Comet poses a bit for the crowd. “Lights Out!” A booming voice causes the arena to be dropped into darkness. The crowd murmurs as the lights slowly begin to fade back up. As the fans in attendance and those watching at home begin to realize what has happened, boos begin to shake the rafters. Standing over the now unconscious Phoenix Uprising are the Fallen, Magnifico, and Silencer…all wielding baseball bats and smiling as the camera moves in close. Silencer swings the bat down across the ribs of Axis, who rolls out of the ring…his face a crimson mask. “Two nights in a row…twice in less than twenty-four hours…Uprising has been laid out at the hands of these four men!” Jayson Grant slams the announce table in disbelief as the voice booms out once more. “Cease.” All four men look around the ring at the destruction they have caused before “Blood Brothers” by Papa Roach begins to blare over the PA, leaving the four men to exit the ring as EMTs and referees arrive to check on the down and out Phoenix Uprising. “You know this can not be over here!” Grant looks on as the show goes to a commercial break, with NTD getting in one final thought before a complete fade out. “This has only just begun…” July 29th – Over Pennsylvania – 4:37 PM Flight 225 The members of the Uprising are on their way to Pittsburgh, the site of RWF Lockdown on Thursday nights. Still in a bit of pain from their beating, all of them are in almost complete silence. “Injustice…utter injustice!” Comet has been repeating this for a little over five minutes quietly to himself, but slowly his utterances are working the nerves of those around him, most notably Outcast, who is having trouble sleeping next to the superhero. “Will you please be quiet, Comet…I’m tired!” He whispers, breaking the concentration of the hero. “Well it’s not my fault you spent all night soaking in the hotel bathtub and didn’t sleep, Citizen Cast.” “I was afraid that I’d drown…that’s called ‘looking out for my own safety’ not ‘I just don’t feel like sleeping tonight’, okay…” “Whatever you say, Citizen Cast…get some rest. I have a feeling that Rane has a plan.” He points over at the sleeping giant. “What makes you think that?” “He never snores that loud unless he is in deep thought. He told me that once.” Comet smiles and goes back to his mantra, causing Outcast to roll over in his seat away from the noise and try to sleep. Comet was right, Rane had a plan. The drooling smile on his face was a dead giveaway. TO BE CONTINUED... Edited September 30, 2003 by The Amazing Rando
