Wrestlefest is quite possibly one of the best wrestling games, i remember playing it in the arcade for hours, until they shut the place down. Now i can play it in the privacy of my own home. Thank god for the internet.

I hated it when I would put in my quarter to join in a Royal Rumble game, and these guys would work together to throw me out. One of them would grab me and throw me towards his friend, who would back bodydrop me out of the ring. What jerks!

I did the download from way up top but it still isn't working......I even put all of the unzipped files in the "rom" folder. What am I doin wrong here?

You DON'T unzip the files - you put the entire whole ONE zip- file that you downloaded into the "Roms" folder.  That's it. Start up the program after that.

Yup. One of the things I hate about using an arcade Emu is that I can never remember how to get the roms working.

 

But yeah, Wrestlefest rules. And to a lesser extent, so does Superstars. Even though Andre is fucking impossible!

Damn it! I can't get this crap to work! I downloaded it, put it in the roms folder, didn't unzip it, but it keeps saying error!!!! Can anyone help a confused brother out?

I downloaded WF, and MAME. I then put all of the ROM files into the ROM folder in MAME. After that, I click on the MAME program, and after a second, my screen sorta flashes, then an error saying...

 

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

 

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."

 

...what is the problem and how can I fix it so I can play the game? Thanks in advance!

Ok, after you have MAMA,use the ROM that midnight express gives you a link to. When you get into Mame, after putting the zip into the ROM file, go to the third Wrestlefest game, then the game should start and the credits will roll. Now, can anyone tell me how to play the damn thing?

this is a little sketchy but: Only two buttons are needed. One for punching and one for...something else. I think grappling? Or running? There are only 4 moves from the grapple position. 2 for each button. Those moves are replaced to stronger moves if your opponent is weak enough. Ahh, fuck it. I forgot. It isn't hard. You should figure it out.

ok, the arrow keys move your guy around. the left CTRL key and the ALT key are your action buttons. That's what I've figured out so far.

ok, for 1 player press 1. After that use your Left CTRL button to choose your players.

Shit, this is important. To be able to select "one player", you have to have credits so press 5 to give the "machine" credits

Ok, then how do you use RAINE? I try to open it, but it comes up with an error saying that I'm missing a file. I don't even see a ROM file in what I got with my RAINE file.

really? it's pretty mucht the same as Mame. You unzip it. A folder should show up with the RAINE contents in it.

 

i've been able to start the program fine. I just have to get Wrestlefest for it.
