I dl'ed wrestlefest a while ago for Mame and its just as good as i remember it. The little blurbs of commentary are better than smackdown 3's and this came out in 91. I'd own you all in an online tourney with a "Hulkster LEG DROP!"

the emu I got (the Win32 version) is kind of weak, but it was the only one that would for me. You can't configure the key settings like you can on RAINE, which is why I preferred it. Wrestlefest is on it as well, but MAME has a shit load of games including X-men and captain america & the Avengers.

Try http://emulamaster.com.

I put the zip file in my ROM folder for Mame, but its not detecting its presence.  I hit refresh and it just doesn't pick it up...what am I supposed to do?

I did what you said, Olympic Hero, but all I got was nothing. Mame says that ROMS are missing. What should I do about the missing ROMS or corrupted ROMS. What should I do about the missing or corrupt ROMS so that finally, after 3 days, I can play the game. I've spent my Easter break looking for this game, and it ain't gonna no fuckin' waste!

I tried to put the zip file in the folder but I got an error stating that the file: "C(two backward slashes)WINDOWS(backward slash)DESKTOP(two backward slashes)WWFWFSTA.EXE" not supported. I tried to play the game on its own but it stated that my ROMS were missing or corrupt. What should I do?:(

I haven't used MAME in a while, but I've always had more luck with the DOS version of it, for certain games.

If you just wanna play WrestleFest...get a RAINE emu. It's easier. Trust me. You'll have to get a WF Rom for the Raine though.

I've always hated MAME, but since the selection of Arcade roms available for it are too tempting to pass up, I have to up with it.

to play games:

go to site I said and download the file.

put the .ZIP file in the roms folder which is in program files\MAME32k\roms

Go to the third wrestlefest game you see. double click it. type ok, press 5 and hit 1. Then go by my last post to play.

also, you can configure the games to your liking by pressing "tab" in-game and selecting "keys-this game".  Then highlight what command you want to change and press a new key for it.  Also, if you want to use a joystick-controller/change video settings/change audio settings, right-click on the game in the MAME32k GUI and click "properties".  Check the box that says "joysticks" to enable a gamepad/joystick, and click the other tabs to do more configurations.  And no - RAINE is not better than MAME.

EASIER! that's what I said. I wouldn't say it if wasn't true.

Anyways, I'll try what you said.

I can still get the download via email.:)

DirectX isn't an emulator--you won't actually be playing WrestleFest on DirectX. It's basically a piece of software that helps your games interact with your hardware. Generally, you'll want to download the latest version, since newer games have a tendency to require the very latest DirectX.

Latest MAME can be found here: http://www.mame.net/downmain.html

Okay, I downloaded Windows 32. Can somebody tell me where to download Wrestlefest for Windows 32?

Posted

Let me just explain why I would like an E-mail: I downloaded RaineW34.Zip for Windows. I then downloaded WinZip. When I tried to play WWF Wrestlefest, I couldn't becaue I kept getting the WInZip intro(I only downloaded the free version) and wasn't even close to the game. I then tried to download MAME for Windows, but when I tried to play WWF Wrestlefest, it said I had several ROM's missing. Also, when I downloaded Wrestlefest for WinZip, I didn't get the proper icon, but a paper with a small icon inside. So, that's where I am at, and that's why I would like the file for E-Mail. But if you can help me with my promblems, it would be MUCH, MUCH, APPREACIATED.
