Guest EI Cubano Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Well, Scott has given the go ahead to add three or four new mods to the forum in order to ensure things will continue to run smoothly around here for quite some time to come. I think four sounds like a good number as long as you guys don't step on eachother's toes and work together to keep the board going strong. In my time as a moderator and now an administrator, two people have consistently aided me in informing me when there was a problem in the forum and have been level headed and responsible enough not to blow a gasket over one uniformed post or over another poster who they don't like yet doesn't do anything to harm the board. These two have also been around since well before the later days of the ezboard and will make great moderators. With that said, Kahran Ramsus and Tony149 will take the role of two of the four moderators and I think it would hard to make a case against that. The other two moderators will be chosen by you, YES YOU, the Smarks board posters. Each poster gets one vote and will choose two posters for the position. The voting is limited to those who have been with us for at least a month and have a minimum of 40 posts. Voting for yourself is NOT allowed nor is campaigning in the forum. Voting will close down at 6:00 Sunday at which point I will tabulate the votes and let you know who won. Please submit your votes via the Ikonboard "Email" button on the bottom of my post so that the system will automatically list your user name when the email is sent. BTW, I'm here since the last days of Rantsylvania can't burkholde or other old school buffs get to be mods? if burkholde would get to be mode the old school forum would surely be better than that 3 pages bore it is right now... maybe it's just the old problem of people posting on the wwf folder ONLY because it's the most visited... Mostly, I just posted here and there without going on a serious post whoring binge like some did during that time and I had probably 700 total before the Great Switchover. I am the Head Admin over at WrestleForum, so I understand all that goes in to being a Mod/Admin/Owner of forums with many members, and it can be quite a chore sometime, lol. Anyhow... ...I know you don't vote here, but I would like to say publicly that bps21 is the guy that would be perfect for this job, if he accepts. But yeah, we have over 800 members, and it can be a hell of a time keeping things in order sometimes. Recently, we've had a few chumps trying to "hack" into our forums, but it's cool. You've just got to stay cool, and handly everything professionally, and I'm sure that whomever ya'll choose as Mods here will do the same! The main thing I'm concerned about is that many people base thier votes on the post counts of some of the guys(a practice I think is pretty stupid) and it comes off as a form of eliteism(much like what happened with the IC). BUT, if I were to pick two people, it'd probably be Brian and MikeSC(or Jingus) because those guys really carry themselves in a very respectable manner on this board and have shown themselves to be very smart individuals. And personally, I don't want to be a mod anyway. I think that it would take away from me being able to enjoy the board because I'd have to constantly watch for trolls and put up with bitchy users(not saying everyone is, but you know they are out there). So, I implore you to not vote for me because being a mod is something I really don't want to do and even if(by some wierd stretch of the imagination) I even got enough votes to be one, I'd politely decline it. Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Oh, and Cobain... to answer your question(which I pretty much forgot due to the rewording of my last post, sorry bout that): The "Inner Circle" was basically supposed to be an elite group of posters from the old Smarksboard started by Highspot(now the esteemed Mr. Crucifixio Jones/PORNFAQ at WDI). Six peopple were to be voted into it and more possibly being added later. After about 2 weeks of voting in the Porno folder(where it was being held at), HS started getting flamed because the IC thing was turning into a huge popularity contest and HS declared that everybody should forget the whole thing. After that, HS "died" and CJ was "born" about 3/4 days later and the entire concept was completely dropped. As for WHO was in it, I can't remember all the guys who made the top six spots(Jay, Loss, DrTom, and Smarky, I think, were a few of the ones who got that high).
