I haven't picked up 619 from the store yet, so could someone please spoiler text Hush's identity?

The guy behind the HUSH plot was

The Riddler

However the man in the bandages was

Tommy Elliot

I just read 619 today. I don't really have a strong opinion on it. It entertained me, I guess that's all that matters (well, not really). I won't be sticking around for the next team. I'm going to be concentrating on Superman: Birthright.

After reading the spoilers, my opinion can be summed up in one word:

WEAK.

Will this (hopefully) tarnish Loeb's vastly overrated image?

I don't think this should tarnish anything. There's still fallout that they're going to be taking care of when they come back a few issues from now.

HUSH was well written, well paced, and in the end they told a damn fine Batman story that made alot of people talk, entertained alot of people, and kept the title hovering around number 1 for a year or so.

Far from a failure or anything resembling one, one any level.

My thoughts exactly....

There's no way the outcome could have lived up to all the hype that surrounded it.

If anyone is interested, Jeph Loeb himself posts on the DC comics message board. He even has a thread where you can ask him ONE question. It's pretty cool he interacts with the fans so much.

I miss Sass. I talk to him on AIM but he doesn't post anymore.

Sass > Then Everyone In This Folder.

Since Stevie really didn't know Sassquatch, then I'll officially third that. The King of Old School is missed in this folder, he was a great go-to guy for overall comics info, and when he gave his opinion it was usually well thought.

And I was right that the bandaged guy was Tommy Elliot

Sorry about my ignorance, but who's this guy?

It was fun... but a very dissapointing ending. Although...

spoilers

SPOILERS

The Riddler's role was a surprise. But still as an overall ending, man it was weak. Besides that very month, New X-Men had trumped Hush with the "mystery man surprise" ;)

end spoilers.

You know where Sass DOES post? SNKT. If you feel the need to talk with the man, head on over there and start up some discussion and he'll be sure to jump on in.

As for the topic, I haven't been paying attention to the arc, so whatever happened with the Jason Todd thing? Was that just a swerve?

Whee, spoilers be here. Be weary. No one else is using the spoiler boxes in here anyways.

Jason Todd was just Clayface.

Now be off with ye.
