Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Hey, so I'm sitting here, it's really late, and I check the Smarkboard and see that Anglesault is now a hardcore champion. I'm thinking of him and the other guys that I recognize that post a lot... the guy with the anime-avatar Euro champ and the guy that's a hardcore champion with the wrestling avatar in the black costume (sorry, your nicks just aren't as catchy as Anglesault). Anyway, frankly, I'm curious as to how you do it. I check the Smarkboard twice a day (which even I think is too much), but what do you guys do, check it every hour? Or do you just have fast college/ethernet/etc. connections and just load up every topic and post in it? It's kinda cool 'cuz I want to be European champion (or at least OVW... damn you 28.8 modem that takes forever to load up the board and limits my posts to 3-5 max a day in interest of time), but at the same time it seems really dorky, like you have nothing else to do (I don't mean to be insulting, that's just how I've always thought of people who use chats and message boards a lot). I never realized dreamer420 was a Euro champ either... I never paid attention to his posts because I never liked that booty picture he always has in his sig/avatar. And even though I go to school full time and have a marriage and everything else, anytime I'm on the computer writing a paper or burning CD's or researching I post. PLus, in the early stages of the board, BPS, myself and Tony149 would have conversations for hours when I was actually excited about the WWF or its prospects. My count is so high because I work for an internet company and talk on the phone all day long, leaving me free to stay on the smarks board all the time that I'm at work. Not really no, sometimes pictures like that get to me, they just look really odd for some reason and I can't describe it. It's not that I have anything against Trish, just the way she looks in that picture kinda creeps me out. Another picture with a similar effect is this picture of Kurt Cobain where he's got his mouth open, and his hair covering his eyes, he looks like some lion drugged out on heroin (it's the cover of the Nirvana bootleg Outcesticide II, you can see it at http://www.digitalnirvana.net/bootogr....cide2), it has the same effect for me as the Trish ass pic. I dunno, maybe I just have a few screws loose... Anyway, I really don't mean to hate on you guys, I admire you all to some degree (I mean come on, it's a title belt, and to paraphrase Stone Cold, if you're not in this for a belt then what the hell are you in here for?), and I have no life either, I just spend all day at school, homework or watching movies rather than at school,homework or the Smarkboard. With Quick Reply I could post 30 times a day and even though I have a 56.6K connection everything goes through pretty fast. Even if I disagree with your assessments on ECW and TommyDreamer, I can't hate you because of that picture. For me personally, many of my wrestling friends have either moved away, don't watch anymore or are too busy to express their love of wrestling. This board is the perfect way to discuss wrestling with other people who have the same passion for wrestling that I do.
