Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2003 I think that maybe only asking for 10 wrestlers is too limiting. I havent' been around too long, so is there/was there a topic about what one would do if given the chance to run WWE? but in no particular order, here is my list(for the RAW guys, I have to go on knowledge of them before the split, as I don't have cable) 1. Kurt Angle this guy has so much behind him they didn't even have to make him use the USA pop. He's recovered well, and even if he gets hurt he can manage if worst comes to worst 2. Triple H this guy is an awesome heel and he can do face if needed. SInce I'd be running WWE in this scenario, he couldn't hold down other workers because I ain't a Macmahon. He can be the Holloywood Hogan of WWE, that constant powerful heel presence 3. Chris Benoit best technical guy in WWE right now. He can adjust his style for when he can't German guys like A-Train and train new guys. 4. Rey Mysterio Jr. ge gets maybe the best pop in WWE right now, can fly, and assumming he doesn't kill anyone botching the West Coast Pop, he can be the best cruiser in WWE. 5. Rob Van Dam what can I say? this dude is just unreal. When he came into WWF, I was amazed by what he can do. This man can go far, and since I would plan on giving the hardcore division its own show, he'd be able to wrestle ECW style again. 6. Brock Lesnar assuming I can stick him with a really good manager like Flair or Heyman, he'd be my go to monster. I personally don't like him on the mike, but he is so strong and talented I have to give him his due. I'd also change his finisher, but that's me. The F5 just doesn't look as cool to me as it probably should. 7. Chris Jericho he can do all kinds of stuff, and has adjusted his style as he's gone on. A feud between him and RVD could lead to some all timers, I think. 8. Raven he'd be the major heel on my hardcore show. the mindgames and whatnot give him an instant coolness, and his fighting style can work in both a hardcore and a non hardcore enviroment. 9. Yoshihiro Tajiri I'm not sure if I'd throw him into the hardcore show or keep him in the regular division, he's so talented that he's another who could do both. His style is unique right now since Steve Blackman left wrestling but he can mesh with other ones(his matches right now with Rey are just brilliant). Besides, we have Funaki, and you can work thorugh him for language barrier problems(I'd have Funaki wrestling by the way). 10. I'm honestly not sure. My changes to WWE would involve more the way the talent is used rather than the actual people, but an Ultimo Dragon or a John Cena or the WGTT could easily make it into my tenth slot if I saw more of them. Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted October 13, 2003 Lets get back to the real topic instead of discussing which jobber will main event Mania in 3 years, RVD-Without any support from WWE management, any real feuds(unless you count the KAne one sided angle a feud), with HHH constantly trying to bury you this wrestler is still over with the masses, all he needs is a real push to have more people to care about his character. Brock-He would be my main monster in my federation, fuck Taker or Kane,Lesnar overshadows both of these has-beens, all he needs is somebody to cut promos for him b/c he can't talk his way out of a paperbag. Jericho-Great heel, as a babyface he was getting stale, his promos are good but needs to evolve his annoying heel persona into a strong heel. Rey-Great athlete, i'll make him a true giant killer by having Show job to him all the time, fuck the jobberweight title Rey is USA or even World title contender material. Eddy- Another great heel and a good babyface, he could be world title materiall too, overall the best wrestler in WWE today. Angle-Nuff said. Benoit-Another world champion in the making, all he needs is WWE pushing machine and he'll get over. Mattitude- Fuck Orton or even Cena, here's the true future of WWE, he'll eventually get bulked up to be world champion but his character is more than ready to get that special McMahon push. A.J. Styles- Wrestling's future is here, just like Matt he will need to bulk up some more(not to HHH's level, more like RVD's level) to be WWE champ or a contender. Low ki-These guy is so amazing and he has the stiffest kicks in the world, all he needs is a manager and the sky is the limit for this guy. Honorable mentions:Edge, Tajiri, Hurricane, and Kane. Guest unleashedfury Report post Posted October 14, 2003 (edited) 1-Brock Lesnar : He's by far the most impressive athelete in WWE right now.A young lion who can go in the ring with everybody. He's got it all :power, speed, technique and his mic skills are getting better. What is scary is that he's young and still improving by leaps and pounds. What's really not to envy about this guy? 2-John Cena : The best talker in the company with a great look.Once he finds himself in the ring he's gonna be HUGE. 3-Eddie Guerrero : The best wrestler in the company, entertaining promo and could make loads of money especially from latinos. 4-Chris Jericho : despite being buried over and over.I still believe he should be given the treatment that he deserves as the total package. 5-Kurt Angle : I'm not a big fan of his like everybody here but if he stays healthy I can push him before someone young retire him. 6-Bill Goldberg : Not a fan of him either, but as long as he draws money and pass the torch to a young talent at Wrestlemania before leaving I don't have a problem pushing him. 7-Kane : the best character in the company.Very good for his size. Not to mention he's the biggest ratings draw right now. 8-Chris Benoit : He should be given a legitimite push just to guarentee quality wrestling in your show until he retires. 9-The Rock : If he can comeback full time, then by all means bring him back since he's still young and draws ratings. 10-Randy Orton : Very green. But this kid has shown charisma and is destined for great things in a few years from now. Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 14, 2003 How does Charlie Haas who lacks the talent of Shelton Benjamin, keep coming in ahead of him on people's lists? Haas is white You both need pimp slapped for this ... First off, about three-quarters of the people have mentioned that the lists are in no particular order and have mentioned Haas/Benjamin together as a unit. Not exactly brain surgery there is it? Secondly, and once again this would require actual reading, those people that haven't listed both or neither have mentioned Shelton more often than Haas. Thirdly, Haas and Benjamin are about as close together in terms of talent as two wrestlers could be. Benjamin is faster and flashier, but Haas seems to have a better grasp of the fundamentals in my opinion as he works more of the WGTT matches than Shelton does. Fourth, race has nothing to do with it.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 14, 2003 So, it's a good idea to build around Kane when every push has failed, but not Hardy who hasn't been given a chance but has a lot of potential? The fans care for Rikishi, so why not put him on the list? Seriously, Kane is the worst booked wrestler of modern times and the fact that he still has any heat at all is AMAZING. Those pushes failing can all be attributed to his legs getting cut out from underneath him time and time again. That being said, I also put Hardy on my list and not Kane since I believe that Hardy is also over despite no semblance of a push. SO what do I know?
