Booger Red apparently comes from a 19th Century Texas Rodeo rider called Sam Privett, who had an ugly face as the result of something exploding in his face. He could ride anything on four legs alledgedly.

RVD was pissed because he was meant to get  the Hardcore title back and a TV pin on the Undertaker plus he likes his matches to go longer and be more high spot orientated.

Dawn Marie and Nova have both signed.

Well that makes sense...

He got part of his wish on Raw with the 7 minute match against Booker T.  If I were RVD I would be happy the Undertaker feud was over, he was never going to get a clean pin on the Dead Man.  That was just typical WWF BS to get him to job.  I agree with RVD when it comes to highspots, we need more of those.

Dawn Marie and Nova have both signed.

That's great news, Dawn is HOT and Nova is supposed to of improved since his ECW run.

So when Kanyon comes back from his injury, we'll finally have that Battle of  the Innovators of Offense everyone's been clamoring about...

.. which will no doubt be followed 2 minutes in with a patented Brock Lobster Total Annihilation,, the force of which will send them both into Metal/Jakked Purgatory with Funaki and Bossman.

As for Dawn Marie.. at this point I'll take anything to get Lance Storm over. Of course, they'll probably just use her as Stacy's executive assistant so that Vince can further live out his prurient mid-life crisis fantasies. Ugh.

well, Nova is nothing more than a highspot machine, so you could really pick anyone like Low Ki and indy wrestlers instead of him.

... hmmm, I sense Nova will team with the Hurricane.

notwithstanding the fact that Nova and RVD are part of the N.T.N. (No Transition Needed)Team, a series between the 2 would be nice, but since Vince had Lynn and didn't even try to promote a series between him and RVD, then I don't think Nova will be more lucky...

This screams Heyman's influence.  You know, if they picked up another five - eight guys, Heyman could re-create ECW in the Excess slot with Lesnar as the champion and TNN wouldn't be able to do a thing about it because it's a WWF show.  It'd be like a third branch extension.  HA!

I liked Dawn Marie in ECW, don't get me wrong.  But doesn't WWF have enough no talent valets on the payroll?

That would be great, and I can actually see Heyman doing that.  Imagine his first promo as the show opens.  TNN would be rolling the "Maybe this man has went through too many tables" subtitle across the bottom of the screen again.

I like Dawn Marie.  She is hot, funny, and if she is managing the right guy then she will fit into the WWF no problem.  I just hope they aren't going to try and turn her into a wrestler.

Dawn Marie would be great for Lance Storm, it would help get him over.

I haven't seen much of Nova, so I don't know how good he is.

My point is that WWF already has hot, no talent valets that could be brought or up from the minors.  Why bring in another?

I hope Dawn and Lance get teamed together.  I know that they were pretty close while both still in ECW and Storm ruled in ECW so maybe a little Dawn is all Lance needs.

While I too question bringing in Dawn Marie exclusively on the fact that WWF has so many women, she does have something none of them have. She is really funny on the mic. I forgot the ECW ppv she was announcing on, but she was VERY funny, and I don't think her stuff was scripted.

Forgive me, I know that this is not from the Observer.  But 1popup is reporting that Matt, the big guy who left the Tough Enough house last night due to injury, just signed a developmental deal with WWF.

I do not think that Jakked and Metal should bear the label of purgatory. Any television time is better then none at all. Being on either show is still an opprotunity. One that a lot of OVW guys would kill for. It all depends on how you utilize it I suppose. If I was on one of those shows I would try to make the most of it and see if I could snag a promotion to one of the two major shows. Need I remind anyone that the New Age Outlaws formed on Shotgun way back when?

I think its a shame they took Ivory away from him...I don't know why, but they looked good together, in a bizarre kinda way.

I hope for the resurgence of guy managers, they're always more entertaining. I mean I keep my pornography and wrestling apart for the most part. Of course theres nothing wrong with t & a here and there but I would love to see Joel Gertner, Cyrus, or Jim Cornette reappear.

Dawn Marie is however a funny chick.

Yeah, Dawn Marie was fucking great as the airheaded bimbo she played in ECW.  I don't think she would work well with Lance, though.  I didn't think they were ever that good together.  She should definitely be with a heel.  Booker, Crash and D-Lo are the only two guys I can think of right now.  And I dunno if those would even be that great.

Nova I like, a lot.  I hear stuff about he claims he invented this and that when he really didn't.  I'm not that knowledgeable on all that, so my opinion won't reflect it.  I think Nova has a great "look" for the WWF, plus he does a lot of cool shit in the ring.  I last saw him about six months ago on an indy show and he's in great shape, which obviously works in his favor.  He's not great on the mike from what I've seen, but he's not as awful as people like Goofy and Hot & Sexy Mocha.  I think he does have good charisma, though, and the stuff he does should get the fans really into his matches.

I'm happy for both of them.

Why is this being reported now when he lost the title way back at Vengeance. And Booger Red is just actually redneck slang for a guy with red hair.

ECW just put that there themselves to further the Network fued, I think.

I don't think of Purgatory as necessarily a bad thing. To me, it's like a waiting room, or a holding pattern, until the higher-ups can send you to either one of two places... heaven (Raw, but just barely) or hell (sMcMahonDown). The actual wrestling is pretty good for the lack of star power they have. And you have the bare minimum of Smackdown replays, which are easily fuhfuhwd'd.

Seriously, I watch Metal more than I do Smackdown. At least lately...
