Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Soooo... Hogan is now facing Trips in the main event. Triple H showed signs of heeldom in his promo w/ Hogan. Nash is relegated to just being a cornerman for the next few months. X-Pac couldn't draw heat if he was made of metal and lived near the Equator. Hall has been a big disappointment and has made me long for the days of Razor Ramon. And Shawn Michaels always manages to keep his name in the news. Doesn't Backlash seem like the perfect time for a Clique reunion? Triple H is fighting Hogan. In typical Hogan fashion, he's hulking up, gaining the advantage. Triple H goes low, then hits a Pedigree. The ref counts, but it's only for 2. Hogan is getting back up...punch, punch, send to the ropes...big boot,legdrop...waitaminute! Hall, Nash and X-Pac run down. The commentators speculate that they have no business attacking someone from the "other brand", but we the fans haven't forgotten that we never got a blowoff to the Hogan/NWO angle. A mass beatdown starts, and Triple H gets to his feet. NWO eyes him, and he glares back, then joins in on the beatdown, which helps him retain the title. Maybe a few weeks later, Michaels comes back in a semi active role to give RAW or Smackdown some more starpower. You know Hogan won't job clean to Trips, and I have my doubts as to if Trips will lose the belt this soon. With Triple H doing the "bouncing" between promotions, and the NWO on RAW, maybe send Michaels to Smackdown if he comes back, and you could do a "we're taking over EVERY SHOW" type of angle, playing off the backstage sentiment that the Clique had "unlimited power". I can see it. Can you?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Well, the Clique took over backstage, (demoting Austin, Angle and Jericho and Pussifying the Rock in the process) so why not on TV?
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Nah. The nWo will stick with the member that they have currently I bet. HHH could be turning heel, which is exactly what his career needs right now. Michaels is banged up, and the biggest d-bag in wrestling history so I wouldn't be sad if we never had to see him again.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Michaels is banged up, and the biggest d-bag in wrestling history so I wouldn't be sad if we never had to see him again. Bret hart is up there too. Didn't he tour Austrailia giving scathing anti-WWF interviews while his mother was on her deathbed?
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Michaels' attitude has always been an issue, but I'm sure someone like The Undertaker or Bradshaw would be more than willing to "keep him in line". It's obvious though, that the NWO is dead. Nash is going to enter rehab for his elbow, and Hall and X-Pac should enter rehab, period. Maybe take Hall off TV for a while, and bring him in as Razor Ramon again. This day in age, a Cuban drug pusher gimmick would have ATTITUDE~! and might get him over again. As for X-Pac, trade him to Smackdown and use him as fodder for the cruisers. Nash...make him a commentator. It's the only thing he's decent with.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 5, 2002 I'm pretty sure Bret was with his family in Calgary when Helen Hart passed away. He may have been on tour with the WWA around that time but he did travel back to Calgary. I wouldn't consider Bret to be a d-bag. I have too much respect for him. Guest notJames Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Nash...make him a commentator. It's the only thing he's decent with. Sure... two hours of him talking about how he could demolish whoever was in the ring at the time, spliced in with footage of him brushing his hair. Now that's entertainment! Guest Shawn Report post Posted April 6, 2002 It would be an awesome way to turn HHH heel as I've been predicting. I can't stand this HHH face crap...
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 then we can bring back the sledgehammer too.
Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Bret hart is up there too. Didn't he tour Austrailia giving scathing anti-WWF interviews while his mother was on her deathbed? Before you post shit like this about someone who worked his ass off for the WWF for 14 years, never injuring one Wrestler and only ever missing 2 shows the entire time check your facts. He went on tour with the WWA in Australia but not when Helan died. He was back in Calgary with his family during that time. Vince should show some respect to Bret, he should pick up the phone and sort things out with him (like Bret asked him to), that way Bret might go back to the WWF. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I can see it...but I really don't want to. The WWF needs a new direction and Michaels is not the man to do that.
Guest mastermind Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I like the idea personally. We need a real kick ass faction. RAW also needs some star power because Smackdown will soon look superior at this rate. Remember Trips was going to be the leader of nWo if Hogan didn't sign or at least that's what guys like Meltzer was reporting. Hogan's face heat obviously put a kibosh on the plans for him being the heel leader of the group. ENTER TRIPLE H. The wwf would be DUMB not to do it. I mean didn't Vince bring them in to poison the wwf. If they don't do it I agree bring back Razor Ramone and Diesel. Hell, it has worked for Hogan. I'm only joking with the Diesel stuff though. Guest Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Not a bad idea, but it may not work well in the long term. Of course, the WWF doesn't really seem to care about the long term, so they might as well give this a try. I get the feeling that HHH will have to turn heel sooner or later, so he'll probably need some backup.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I've been expecting HHH to turn heel (they REALLY don't want to turn the Rock, and with good reason, a lot of the company's names and products are based on his catchphrases) and bring NWO to SmackDown. It just doesn't make sense to take something so historically well known as the NWO, castrate it, and leave it on Raw in a weakened state. Since so much of it rotates around the original Clique, might as well bring it back.

Guest Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I don't see why everyone thinks the nWo is so dead. They are just waiting in the wings right now. I get a funny feeling they are up to something BIG and it could happen at Backlash. It is not like the nWo is tanking. They are still a top 5 merchandise pusher in the WWF and they have been booked to do anything remotely close to nWoish since they ran over the Rock that night. Guest Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I really hope HBK joins the NWO, that group and the RAW show in general could use some more star power.
Guest Maurizio C... Version 2 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 every month we discuss the fact that HBK might return to the wwf... he ain't returning. Vince doesn't want his lazy ass. period.
