Hey, this is one of my favorite movies to use with Jericho in WWF No Mercy on N64, but has it ever worked in real life? What was the reaction, if anything, from Jericho, the other wrestler, or announcers/crowd? Who else has used the move besides Jericho? I think I saw Scott Hall try it once but I'm not sure.

Scott Hall has indeed used that pin many times, but I don't think it's ever resulted in a pinfall.  Maybe against a jobber, but that's about it.

The Ultimate Warrior used it occasionally.  He beat Macho King with that move at Wrestlemania 7.

Paul Roma pinned Marty Jannety at SummerSlam '90 with one foot on the chest as well. It got a big pop from the Philly crowd, but I suspect that it's because the faces lost, and not a direct result of the fashion that Roma covered Jannety.

A lot of heels beat jobbers that way since the jobbers wouldn't lose any heat.  It is rare for a superstar to beat another superstar like that, but it has happened a few times.

The biggest example I can think of is with The Narcissist Lex Luger.  He beat everybody with arrogant covers to push the fact that he was knocking them out with the steel plate in his arm.

Does anyone else laugh out loud when Jericho does the "C'MON BABY" cover?  Maybe it's his voice or something.

King Kong Bundy used it quite a bit too in conjunction with the 5 count.

I did!  I loved when he was in wCw, and he'd thrust his arms out, flex and cover.

:Sticks left arm out: "Huh!"

:Sticks right arm out: "Huh!"

:Flexs and puts foot on fallen foe:"Huuuh!"

Damn, only a 2 count

Many times he would go:

LION . . . HEART . . . . . . C'MON BABY!!!

Warrior also pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a similar manner at Wrestlemania 12 (The greatest match of HHH's career!).

WWF has only used it a couple times in recent years, and neither time it's worked.

Half the time it works there has to be huge amounts of heel cheating. I think Hogan used it on Roddy Piper while bitching out the crowd during the whole nWo run, but since the only footage I've ever seen of that angle was some video files a few years ago, I can't remember the exact situation there. ???
