Guest HBK16 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I didn't exactly know where to put this. I had to choose between this or the tape trading forum but nobody will answer me there. Anyways, can someone give me more info about Steve Corino and X-Pac wrestled for the GWF Junior Heavyweight title. Was this match ever taped? WOudl I be able to find it anywhere. Also, if anybody can give me a brief little history on X-Pac before he went to WCW. Like where he wrestled and what were some of his best matches. I heard he went to WAR in Japan. Is it true? Thanks. Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I don't thnk Corino had started wrestling when the GWF was in business. Are you sure that you're not thinking about Jerry Lynn? He had a very good series of GWF matches with X-Pac (then the Lightning Kid), including a 2 out of 3 fall match where you had to win with your finisher. Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Several of their matches aired on ESPN so I'm sure they're around. I couldn't tell you where to find them though.

Guest Maurizio C... Version 2 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 well, hbk, you asked for some info on x pac before the wcw days. here I am... Sean Waltman started in the indy in the '90s. he wrestled as the Lightning Kid, mainly in GWF, having great series of matches with Jerry Lynn. Vince then picked him up and gave him the gimmick of the perennial loser. He literally jobbed to anyone, from Skinner, to Owen, to Brooklyn Brawler. Then one day razor Ramon (Scott hall) voluntereed to put Waltman over and gave him a 123 after a moonsault (waltman was one of the first US based wrestlers to use the moonsault). After the match, Vince renamed waltman the 123 Kid. Soon he became friends with hall, nash and Michaels backstage. that served its purpouse s 123 kid started having more matches with ramon and more air time around '95. h never really was a champion if you don't count his forays in the tag division with Bob Holly. Around '96 he asked vince to leave to be with his frinds hall & nash in wcw. at the time, waltman was having drugs problems so Vince was more than happy to help him (notwithstanding the fact that waltman wasn't giving shit about stuff, anyway). and that's it.
