Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Roger Ebert reviews Rollerball The results are not promising.
Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted February 9, 2002 At rottentomatoes.com only one out of twenty-two critics recommended Rollerball, I don't rely heavily on the opinion of critics to influence my entertainment choices but when reviews are that over-whelmingly negative I have to skip the movie. Guest Army Eye Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Yeah, the rollerball page on RottenTomatoes pretty much says it all. What pisses me off is that Chris Klein keeps getting movie deals. He SUCKS. It is amazing how many deals the various actors from American Pie have gotten. And hasn't every single one flopped? Is this really surprising to anyone? Ebert is truly at his best when reviewing horrible movies though Great reading
Guest Annoyed Grunt Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I just wish they re-released the original instead. It was a solid little action movie with depth. Why waste millions making a crappy remake.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted February 9, 2002 The games are announced by Paul Heyman, who keeps screaming, "What the hell is going on?" Sounds like the highlight of the movie.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Actually, the fact that Ebert mentioned Paul Heyman by name intrigued me, since he's a pretty minor character. You've got to be a wrestling fan to know who Heyman is, it's not like The Rock where every joe blow on the street knows his name. Perhaps Roger is a closet wrestling viewer? Guest Rekall13 Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I think I'll just rent the original.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Ebert researches all of his movies before he reviews them. That's why he knows who Heyman is.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I don't trust Ebert's opinion at all. Remember his review of Titanic? I always bring that up, but it's because that movie sucks soooooo much balls.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 He is wrong sometimes, but he is pretty accurate when you curve the ratings for certain genres. But something that gets 1/2* is pretty much guaranteed to suck.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I liked Titanic. But his ***1/2 rating for Anaconda is something I'll never understand.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Anaconda is nothing more than a modern version of "Revenge of the Ants" or any other generic 60's-70's "Horror/Thiller" movie. Cheap production really hampered it.
Guest theWCWRaider Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Well, I don't let reviews influence my opinion of whether or not I will watch a movie, but I will have to say that I am definitely not a fan of Anaconda. That was a movie that never grabbed my interest throughout the whole time I was watching it. I haven't even seen Titanic yet, and I have no desire to see it either. Roller ball? Well, we'll have to wait and see. But, I don't have any interest in seeing it to begin with.
Guest Brush with Greatness Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I thought Chris Klein was pretty cool in Election. But then again I thought Election was cool all together. Apart from that, I haven't seen him in anything besides the Pie movies.
Guest Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I saw Anaconda.....it was pretty good. The snake looked real but some stuff like when he ate that guy it looked fuckin fake. He winked to......wtf????
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted February 9, 2002 o man is it just me or does it seem like every new movie sucks BTW i think im the only person who hated LOTR
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I thought Chris Klein was pretty cool in Election. But then again I thought Election was cool all together. Apart from that, I haven't seen him in anything besides the Pie movies. Chris Klein's part in Election was to act like an idiot with no clue of what was going on around him. Trust me, it wasn't much of a stretch.
Guest Report post Posted February 11, 2002 I hated Lord Of The Rings to man.....that was bullshit.
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted February 14, 2002 If anyone has seen it, simply out of a morbid curiousity, what is Shane McMahon's role in the film? Is it just a 2 second cameo, does he have any lines? Dames
Guest Mecca of Manhood Report post Posted February 14, 2002 Ill still go see it.
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 14, 2002 My brother saw it, Shane's part is indeed a 2 second non-speaking cameo. And out of curiosity, to the two of you who disliked LOTR, may I ask your reasons? I thought it was pretty damn good.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Shane was only in it for two seconds, non speaking. It was the most disjointed movie that I've ever seen. They had a whole sequence done in night-vision, if that's any indication how bad it got. Strong recomendation to avoid, Heyman non-withstanding.
