Guest alfdogg Report post Posted April 10, 2002 The only good things to come out of Hogan's arrival were Stone Cold and Mankind. Bottom line.
Guest alfdogg Report post Posted April 10, 2002 "did i forget to mention aty superbrawl V vader got up form theleg drop after a 1 count? Talk about no selling." There's a little bit of difference between a Vader Bomb and a friggin' legdrop. Let me guess: You probably think Austin should be fired and that Jericho's failure as champ was all his fault. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 12, 2002 If Hogan never came to WCW in 1994, I think that it's possible Shawn Michaels would have. Shawn was rumored to be wanting out of his WWF contract in the spring of 1994, and I think WCW would have snapped him up in a heartbeat. The "Clique" would have never existed, and the careers of Nash and Hall probably wouldn't have taken off to the extent that they did. Same could be said for Waltman, and I doubt HHH would have gotten much of a push without his friends. Therefore, it's highly unlikely they would be coveted to create the NWO. Hogan would have had that feud with Bret, and McMahon could have been the one that created the Hogan heel turn, by doing the Bob Backlund "snapping" gimmick with him. Michaels, Sting, Flair, Austin, Regal, Badd, Foley, Pillman, Anderson, Rhodes and others make WCW a huge success based on workrate and an "old school hardcore" style, with great psychological brawls, etc. Now if SCHIAVONE was Pres. of WCW, here's what we could have seen... Less hyperbole in the announce booth (or maybe more...T.S. could have made it a requirement!) If Taylor took charge of WCW, I think we would have seen a tremendous emphasis on workrate. Lucha and Puro influence would have come sooner rather than later, and Taylor may have patterned WCW somewhat after ECW, attempting to create some WCW Attitude. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 13, 2002 I think if Hogan hadn't gone to the WCW then Hall and Nash and maybe even Michaels would have all jumped ship around 94 or 95. Then, who the fuck knows what would have happened?
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 13, 2002 I wonder why no one has used this idea to fantasy book. That would be some great fantasy booking.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted April 13, 2002 You're right Risk. That would be some good fantasy booking. Someone should book WCW from Slamboree on and not use Hogan.
