Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 6, 2002 We all have some movies we cannot stand... what are some of yours? Mine would be: Ghost Dirty Dancing Pretty Woman The Beauty & The Beast (even when I was young I thought it was shit) I really can't stand those... at all. Guest Laichzeit Report post Posted April 6, 2002 For myself, any movie starring Julia Roberts is intolerable. Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. After hearing my friend give it rave reviews for months, I went out and bought the DVD. What a waste of 25 dollars. I would rather be sodomized with a broomstick than sit through that atrocity. Come to think of it, my friend gave rave reviews to Mortal Kombat: Annihilation too.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Pearl Harbor: and no not to be trendy but because i totally hated it...fuck that movie) ID4: overrated and ruined by Will Smith being "funny". Would've been alot better if it was more serious and wasn't made to be cheap entertainment. (the recent hollywood)Godzilla: Do i honestly have to explain this? American Pie: Its humor is greatly overrated The Nutty Professor: I don't see how people can call this movie funny. The one scene that most people claim is insanely funny(the dinner table scene) is NOT that funny...it's humorous for a few moments but then just becomes very stupid. Doctor Dolittle 2: it's complete SHIT Speed: fuck Keanu
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted April 6, 2002 North Rainbow Bright and the Star Stealer Star Trek 5 Star Trek 1 Star Trek Insurection The Bear Lake Placid Most Marylin Monroe movies Ghost in the Shell House of Dark Shadows Everything in Gladiator but the Fight Scenes Trainspotting The Avengers I think its interesting that all of the movies on Flyboys list aside from Beauty and the Beast have either Patrick Swayze or Demi Moore or both in them
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I'll second "Pearl Harbor." What a miserable piece of shit. I could go on for hours, as far as the horrible script, ridiculous characters, and historical inaccuracies are concerned. It just made me incredibly angry to watch that film. "Erin Brockovich" is another one that I really despised. I hate any sort of "feel-good hit of the summer" type nonsense. And I don't celebrate obnoxious trailer trash, so that movie sort of alienated me from the word go.

Guest Report post Posted April 6, 2002 What's with all these Patrick Swayze haters? Hell, I didn't mind Dirty Dancing or Ghost. Anyway, it would be hard to think of all the bad movies I have seen (there are plenty of bad movies I do like). Probably the worst ones I have seen recently are The Avengers (what a waste of talent and money) and this pretentious art film called Songs from the Second Floor. Pure garbage. As for bad movies that I actually enjoy, probably the worst (and this one I get laughed at the most for owning it on DVD) is Battlefield Earth. Man, that movie is soooo bad, but it rocks. You have to admire the fact that so many people invested so much money and effort into a movie that contained no logic whatsoever. Classic bad cinema! Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Just visiting. It came out last year I think and starred Jean Reno and Christina Applegate and was just intolerable. I had to watch this on my flight over to Miami. I wanted to get up and rip the moniter out. It's the stupidest movie...EVER!
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 6, 2002 ONe of the worst movies I have ever seen was a movie with Brooke Shields and Dan Cortese. I think it was called BEtter than Sex or After Sex or Something or other Sex, but it was the biggest piece of shit my wife ever made me sit through.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Titanic...all the crappy chick flicks Oh yeah... I forgot about Titanic. I mean... we all knew what the ending would be. I'm like Steve Harvey on that matter, "What the fuck? BRING ON THE WATER!"
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 6, 2002 What's with all these Patrick Swayze haters? Hell, I didn't mind Dirty Dancing or Ghost. He's an overracted actor that made tons of chick flicks and that.. "got him over". The only thing I DO like about Dirty Dancing is the end when they all start dancing and "I Had The Time Of My Life" is playing--I like that song.
Guest ArkhamGlobe Report post Posted April 6, 2002 There are plenty of films I can't stand, but there is one that I truly despise, and given that it is a very beloved film by others I have gotten some pretty weird looks when I've given my opinion on THAT film. The film is E.T. I just can't stand that pile of sickening sentimental tripe. Just watching outtakes from single scenes are enough to piss me off to no end. Granted, I have seen films that I found to be worse films (a spanish mockumentary called "Blah Blah Blah" comes to mind), but this is one of the few films that I truly hate. When I think of some others I'll post them.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 I can at least stand most movies in an MST3K sense, where I make fun of it as it goes along. Hell, some movies have surprised me as far as being good when it should have, by all accounts, been shitty shitty McShit shit (Whatever It Takes comes directly to mind). But the following films have no redeeming quality whatsoever, and I want to murder whoever made them: Scary Movie Scary Movie 2 Urban Legends: The Final Cut Mortal Kombat: Annihilation Brazil Brazil especially, for its "we're being weird just to be weird, you fuckheads" mentality, and it's obvious bastardization of "1984." Guest areacode212 Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Batman & Robin The Mummy Returns Those are the two that I absolutely HATE. I try to see movies that most people give good reviews to, so there aren't too many horrible ones that I've seen. Oh yeah, The Skulls was pretty awful, too. Guest godthedog Report post Posted April 6, 2002 'apolcalypse now'...that's the most overblown ("my film is not about vietnam...my film IS vietnam"), least subtle cinematic turd i've ever seen in my life. no real character development, no a-to-b storytelling, just a bunch of melodramatic "war is hell" episodes loosely linked by martin sheen's gratuitous and EXTREMELY poorly-written narration ("they were gonna give me a medal for this...and i wasn't even in their fuckin' army anymore"? what purpose did that line serve? what drug inspired that line?). when the soldier finds the puppy (if you've seen it you know what i'm talking about), i saw it coming but i hoped to god they wouldn't do it because of how obvious and manipulative it would've been...but they did it. speilberg and capra have NOTHING on coppola. Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 7, 2002 >Jean Claude Vam Dam in: >Street Fighter This was a bad, bad movie, but it scores about 8/10 on the unintentional comedy scale IMO. >Wing Commander >another movie based on a video game.....Hollywood stop being greedy!!! I'd be realistic and ask Hollywood to stop making movies with Freddie Prinze Jr instead... >I don't think he's a great actor but I have enjoyed some of his films. I love Red Dawn. Great movie, but I think it had more to do with the entire cast as opposed to just Swayze. Movie's I've seen and hated: - The last two Batman movies. The only way Joel Schumacher could've done worse was if Rob Liefeld had written the script. - ExistenZ. One fucked up flick. - The Sixth Sense. So boring that I fell asleep. While the surprise ending was good, it wasn't enough to make up for the 150 or so minutes that led up to it. - Showgirls. No explanation needed, I think. Even nudity couldn't save this piece of crap. - Tomb Raider. While it had one of the best "run away from explosion" scenes I've ever seen, there was a helluva lot of merde everywhere else. Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Trainspotting Take it back! Take it back! no, I won't take it back. I hated, HATED Trainspotting. I know everyone seems to love this, but I couldn't stand Dead Alive either. Dead Alive is stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid crap. It had ONE part that could pass for entertaining and that's the kung fu priest, but other than that I wouldn't wipe my ass with Dead Alive. And Patrick Swayze was good in the Outsiders

Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 The Replacements...ugh. Remember that one scene where the coach put the stickum on Franklin's hands? They're on about the 40 yard line. They break the huddle, and you get a shot of the team coming up to the line of scrimmage...which is at the 2 yard line?!? Then another view shows them back at the proper line. Stupid stupid shit. Not to mention the movie's lack of knowledge of the rules of football.
