Guest Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Pretty self-explanatory. I say....TAJIRI! Honestly, I don't know, but that'd definitely be nice.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 6, 2002 Deja vu all over again. What, the multi hundred post thread wasn't good enough?
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 So, I'm lazy and didn't see the other one. Sue me. Or better yet, have me watch Hogan continue to wrestle as though he were 20 years younger than he actually is. No wait, McMahon beat you to that one.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I said it in the other thread-I want Christian, but we all know it's going to be Test

Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 7, 2002 The other thread is who you want to be KOTR. This thread is who you think will be KOTR. I think that WWF will be stupid, and give it to X-Pac.
Guest The Fett Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I'm guessing Benoit beats Lesner in the finals, winning KOTR and giving Lesner his first ever loss.
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I'm sticking to my guns. I say Benoit. Even though I would rather see Benoit Feud with Angle when he returns. I like Anglesault's idea in a different post about waiting for those two to feud over the World title but we all know Triple H' isn't dropping that belt until at LEAST Summerslam. Guest Maurizio C... Version 2 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Guys, I'm sincerely shocked at your picks. Test?! Benoit?! It's obvious it will be RVD. In a perfect world RVD would face Edge in the finals, with Edge going over with an upset. I think an Edge win would definitly help putting him more over than now. RVD winning would mean absoloutely nothing as he's already over big. I predict the 4 semifinalists to be RVD, Edge, Tajiri and Test. Plus, FearHavoc, thinking Benoit will feud with Angle, of all things, for the world title, is wishful thinking. You must get over the fact that Angle is doomed and he'll be lucky to win the IC title while HHH and the Dinosaurs embark on a hall of fame tour of matches. Benoit'll come bak and be given a few title shots to please the internet fanbase ut don't expect him to win the thing as long as HHH and the others are healthy. Benoit's chance at the gold was before he injured himself, but things have changed since then.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I vote Lesner....but they will probably fuck it up...so give me Christian as a back up.
Guest Maurizio C... Version 2 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 mark my words. RVD will win and embark on a solid, spectacular, awesome, sizzling... Euro title quest!
Guest raptor Report post Posted April 7, 2002 What does Benoit have to gain from being KotR other than a fanboy's wet dream? He's already a legit main eventer, and he would just be stepping over people who need the title to begin a push. I like Christian as KotR. If they are insistant on pushing him, having him win then fued with Edge again could help. It may be a little soon for Brock, but they could use him to destroy some favorites in the early rounds. Test isn't necessarily a bad idea, either.
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I think Benoit will win it (I had the same feeling about Shamrock the year he took it). I think Christian should have won it last year (and I cannot think of one single person who was not a heel when he won it and did anything with the title). I am wondering if anyone has ever won the King of the Ring two years in arow.
Guest ratboy Report post Posted April 7, 2002 um, the tournament's only nine years on. It should be quite easy to recall each winner, or to find out with a quick search. Sorry if I sound bitchy, but come on, man!!
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I'll go with Booker to win on a hunch, Brock to place as an eventuality, and Christian to show because I'd like him to go over if the Book doesn't. Wouldn't mind Rhyno, Storm, or Tajiri to have a run as well. I don't expect Pac to have a run, since he's a "main eventer" and all.
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Lets see, I cant think back very far..but I'll try. Maybe someone can help me out. 2002 - ?? Test? Brutus The Barber Beefcake? 2001 - Edge 2000 - Angle 1999 - B.A. Billy Gunn 1998 - Shamrock 1997 - Owen? Austin? I dont really remember. 1996 - Either Owen or Austin, whoever didnt win 97. I think. 1995 - Mabel? Thats kind of hazy.

Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Anglesault, you took the words right out of my.... keyboard, ahahahaha, that was funny, wasn't it? .... Wasn't it? ....Well, I would just like to profess my hatred for Test publicly.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I don't even think that the King of the Ring even matters. Look at Edge & Billy Gunn. If it were to actually be used to elevate someone, I would want it to be given to Val Venis or Christian. Seeing as how it usually just turns out to mean nothing anyway, I'm guessing it will be Test or X-pac. Brock winning would be ok in my books, as long as his matches weren't boring by the time he made it to the finals. We have established that he can do a judo type takedown and a fireman carry to DDT. I have also read from several places that he can do a shooting star press, which would be most impressive. The only other moves I have seen him use would be a clothesline, and a multipower bomb which could only be used on the lightweights. I hope this man doesn't get stale too early. Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I disagree. I think that the King of the Ring tournament does mean something. It is supposed to lend a bit of legitimacy to a wrestler. You point out Billy Gun and Edge to support your argument. I would like to point out Kurt Angle, Triple H, Steve Austin, and Bret Hart to support mine. Guest Maurizio C... Version 2 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 yes, he did the shooting star press back in develpmental territory, but I guess the WWF has vetoed he use the move since he's green, clumsy and a little bit stiff. On KOTR, I can only tell the guys that started watching wrestling just a few years ago that the 1993 edition ranks as perhaps the best as far as the tourney is concerned. Bret had a match with Mr.perfect that was so good it eclipsed the whole card. Bret was a main eventer then, thus he was slated to be put over to put the concept over, too. these last few years the tourney has lost its meaning since the winner usually has his 15 minutes of fame on Raw the day after and that's it. Guest caboose Report post Posted April 7, 2002 It better be Booker T or Chris Benoit, otherwise i'm going to be pissed.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Booker T vs. Chris Benoit should be the final match, and they should start a feud after that. Edge still has some mileage left so wait and see.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 7, 2002 KOR 2002 well if these guys are healthy then I would like to see: Awesome winner cause he's Hogan's nephew Rhyno Kaynon Lesner or CW Lance Storm winner Hurricane Tajeri Christian
