It's a bit too early to form an opinion of Mark Lloyd. Why do they have so many announcer/interviewer types anyway? They're already paying Coach, Kevin Kelly, Sharmell Sullivan, Lillian Garcia, etc.., all of whom can perform the same function as Lloyd.

I hate all the wwf announcers.  It seems that only Kelly, JR, King and Tazz have some form of passion for the business.  I think Coach *may* like wrestling, but I am not sure.  Cole definately wishes to be somewhere else...

I guess Marc Lyod is there so Michael Cole can boss someone around and be "cool".  He called him a freaking ding-dong.  God, I hate Cole, but back to Lyod.  He's alright.  Nothing really stands out making him real good, but not bad for now.  Have to wait a while to see how he does.

I don't understand why the WWF has to introduce every new announcer as a bumbling idiot. The announcers are supposed to get over the importance of the storylines and the matches. But who is going to take them seriously if they are just put on television to be laughed at. WCW always did that and everyone treated their announcers as jokes.

 

The only announcers in the WWF with any credibility are J.R. and Lawler. Maybe Tazz could gain some credibility if they keep him out of squash matches in the ring.

 

As for Lloyd, I was not impressed with his goofy facial expressions or his presence. It was like two Michael Cole's on one show.

 

Why don't they put Sharmell Sullivan on one of these shows? She's attractive, well-spoken and comes across as intelligent during interviews. I don't know how much she knows about wrestling, but I am sure if they explained to her what points to get across she could do a much better job than Trish or Terri. It's not like they are paying her to do anything else.

he's alright, but he doesn't seem as comfortable there as coach and cole do. as much as people don't like him, cole is very professional, as is coach.

Very, very good point.  And only with the male announcers, too.

I agree completely.  I taped Excess to see what would happen with it and he didn't seem like anything special at all.  Unless he also does stuff with production or something, I dunno why they spent the money.

I'd say they both like wrestling.  I doubt they'd be employed if they didn't at least enjoy it a little.

I agree that Terri was good on Excess...she wasn't bad tonight as an interviewer either.  The one announcer/interviewer that I really do like is the Coach.  I dont know why but he seems to enjoy the job and really gets into his skits with The Rock.

Well I didn't see much of Excess but he didn't seem too bad on the show from what I saw.  He looked a little nervous.  I think they should have kept Trish on Excess, but then again if I was running the WWF i'd have made sure Trish was on every other segment of every single WWF show.  I thought she was definatly a better presenter than Terri.

 

And I don't really understand why everyone hates Michael Cole, I don't really think he's that bad.  And I doubt he'd have been in the WWF for as long as he has been if he didn't have some kind of passion for the business.  Maybe he wants to be in the WWF but he didn't really want to be an announcer or Interviewer.

 

And about the Coach, I think his segments with the Rock were great "Wat up G?" was the best line i've heard in ages!

Coach's 'gay black guy character' is cool. Anyway I am just wondering, what does MArk Loyd do besides Excess? Because they could just get Kevin Kelly to do that. Does he have any other responsibilty...like holding Col's jock?
