Guest redbaron51 Posted April 7, 2002 Report Posted April 7, 2002 Well I think the JL should have a PPV for the first time in the smarks. I mean should we have it in the end of April, in May, June. No later I don't think though.
Guest Insanityman Posted April 7, 2002 Report Posted April 7, 2002 I think we should have one soon, but not until maybe start of June. The JL is really at a high point, and returns are becoming more often. (Y)! So, I'd personally think that be cool. But remember... JL'ers don't get many, if any. (that was to newbies).
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted April 7, 2002 Report Posted April 7, 2002 Heh. Maybe sometime, but there's too much stuff developing right now. Everyone's in the middle of storylines, not near the end of them. It'll happen when it'll happen.
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 7, 2002 Report Posted April 7, 2002 May is probably the best time to have it. In June, well most of us will have Exams that time.
Guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 I think that the JL should have a PPV at the end of every month. I've come up with PPVs with name and everthing. They should be good... Smarks Junior League PPVs: No.| Month | PPV Name | Type/Main Event 01) January=“Total Chaos” –Title/#1 Contendership 02) February=“Code Red” –Generic/Title 03) March=“War Zone” –Hardcore 04) April=“Duel To The End” -Last Man Standing/HIAC 05) May=“Platinum” –Generic/Title 06) June=“Inferno” –Special & New Stipulation 07) July=“Ashes to Ashes” –No D.Q./Title 08) August=“Dead Metal” –Cage/HIAC/Title 09) September=“Street Fight” –Hardcore/No D.Q. 10) October=“Fear Fest” –Halloween Special 11) November=“Zero Survivors” –Last Man Standing/Royal Rumble 12) December=“13th Hour” –Ultimate PPV (Wrestlemania) Yes, I did get "Ashes to Ashes" and "13th Hour" from the old days.
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 Dear Cutthroat, you don't understand. JL getting a PPV is a privelage, not a priority. It happens usually once ever 4 months.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 We should do a Lethal Lottery Tag Tournament one of these days. Dusty Rhodes did it in the old NWA and it was pretty interesting. 16 randomly made teams go at it in a tourney, and the last four teams go at it in an 8 man battle royal and the winner gets the prize. Either a title shot, or a title itself, a ring, a kiss from the ring girl, a handshake from the boss, or whathaveyou.
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 Hate to break it to you Cutthroat, and don't take this personally, but it just wouldn't work. PPV's either add to, start, or end feuds, but JL feuds kinda come and go quick. Although, barring 'platinum' and the two old WF names, you did make some nice ideas I have to say Cutthroat. I can't say how far you get ni the wrestling side, but you may have a booking career. -Annie
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 Heh. That actually sounds kinda fun, Tod, but I doubt we'd be able to get everyone involved. Perhaps for another day, though. Unless we made it for a title shot I doubt anyone would actually write for it, but that might be something neat to do for just two shows or so.
Guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 I think we should do a "Brand Extension"! CHA RIGHT! Like that will ever happen. To tell ya the truth...we should have MAJOR PPVs, like 11-match cards before we have any kind of PPV.
Guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 Well since the JL only have PPVs every 4 months then Total Chaos, Zero Survivors, and Duel To The End would be good to have.(They're cool names) And then Platinum and Inferno could replace Metal and Crimson. Cause Platinum and Inferno sound cooler than Metal and Crimson.
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 ... making the names for PPV is great, but changing the shows...well no, we've been through that already
Guest Suicide King Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 Sigh... seems like every two weeks we get somebody asking for another dang PPV. Now this is good in that it shows interest, but bad in that historically speaking frequent JL PPvs resulted in chronic no-showing, which makes me pissy. Perhaps that will change with our new talent, perhaps not. Either way it will take a little more time for us to ascertain, and almost certainly the first PPV is at least 2 months away. And Cutthroat? Can you please stop concentrating on changing the fed and start concentrating on winning a match? I kid. I kid because I love.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted April 8, 2002 Report Posted April 8, 2002 *comes back to the boards for a moment, sees the "brand extension" thing and rolls around on the floor laughing*
