Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted April 8, 2002 Pick up Scott Leighton's Joshi 2001 comps (2 vols) if you want a good 12 hrs to basically sum up 2001. Tim, who needs to get those but doesn't have the cash
Guest TopSecretMan Report post Posted April 8, 2002 >>ive just ordered my first joshi tape dreamslam, what other tapes should i get? For older stuff: Dream Rush Legacy of Queens Any 80's stuff with Crush vs Dump or Lioness vs Chigusa The Ueda retirement match JWP Thunderqueen are all very solid shows >>i know about dreamslam2and big egg universe but what are the best tapes of the last 2years? Pretty much any Zenjo show from the last two years is worth tracking down. Or, as Tim said, those comps >>im a jap-lucha fan so which promotion is best for this? 98-99 Arsion. >>and how did you get into joshi? A long lost Japanese girlfriend... >>what where your first tapes? TV shows of Destiny and early 1996 >>and who are the top5 joshi wrestlers in your opinion? It depends on what aspect you're talking about...it's pretty safe to say that Jaguar Yokota and Akira Hokuto would be on the all-time list. If you meant currently, that's a different story altogether.
Guest MRFTW Report post Posted April 8, 2002 "what other tapes should i get?" If you like the Dreamslam shows then you should like the AJW 8/25/93, 10/9/93, 12/6/93 and 8/24/94 commercial tapes which are some of my favorites. JWP's 11/20/93 and 11/27/93 tv's are good, from 11/20 Devil/Plum vs Chigusa/Cuty is a must see tag match. Can't really go wrong with any AJW or JWP tv and commercial tapes from about 92 to 95 though. The only shows I have from more recent years are GAEA's 4/4/99 and 9/17/99 shows both of which are among the favorite tapes I own.
Guest Jubuki Report post Posted April 8, 2002 CAPITALIZATION Page Breaks! Punctuation is, now that I think of it, your friend, as well. Everything from AJW, 6/92 - BEU is worth a look. I've liked the JWP from the same period. ARSION before 2000 is good. AJW lately is hit and miss -- some great, some boring. The Aug. & Dec. 00 is good, the May - Oct. 01 is good. Get Aja/Satomura 9/99 and Hokuto/Satomura 4/01 from GAEA, fuck the rest.
