Yeah, it does. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much in the way of details - just a few days ago I found out Thesz eliminated O'Conner to win the first battle royal.

PWI from that month says the fans were showing apathy for many of the legends-

 

one of the writer's said: "The fans were kool aid drinking 5 year olds- how could they enjoy fine wine"

 

Another went on a rant about how out of shape Chief Jay looked (He wore no Headress and had a "Hulkamania" shirt on of all things)

 

Lastly.... I seem to recall Thesz pinning O'conner to win it..... That part may be wrong in my head.....
