Guest DARRYLXWF Report post Posted April 8, 2002 - Live from Winston-Salem, North Carolina - Your hosts are Tony, Bobby and Mike. The Bottom Line: I've butchered the review a bit, but all in all, take away the bad stuff and you have yourself a pretty good but short show. Recommended. Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted April 8, 2002 Man, that ppv had some good moments. The Animals-ICP&Vampiro match was watchable, and the Benoit-Sid match was ok, but the rest wasn't that good. The only good thing about the PPV in my opinion was it was my world PPV debut! (There's a crowd shot during the entrances of the Revolution/1st Family match, and i'm in there) There were a few funny moments too. During the Revolution entrance, Douglas goes, over the whole arena "Saginaw Michigan, are you...." stops, and then says "Winston-Salem, are you ready for a Revolution" During the Goldberg/DDP match, not sure if this made it on the air, but there's actually a little hogan chant because a man sitting near me looked like Hogan. When Sting hit Hogan with the bat, i swear the roof on that place blew up, Everybody in that arena just cheered there ass off. And sting was trying to turn heel! Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 8, 2002 Hey, Darryll, your next review should be Halloween Havoc 2000. I bet you'd have lots to write about.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted April 9, 2002 Hey, Darryll, your next review should be Halloween Havoc 2000. I bet you'd have lots to write about. what about Halloween Havoc 98, or Fall Brawl 98?
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 9, 2002 what about Halloween Havoc 98, or Fall Brawl 98? Reviewing Fall Brawl 98 would require putting the tape in the VCR, and that show isn't even worthy of that.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted April 10, 2002 what about Halloween Havoc 98 Hey, HH98 had several kickass matches. Raven-Jericho and Juvy-Disco were great, Kidman-Disco was okay, Goldberg-DDP was better than it had any right to be, and even Hall-Nash didn't suck quite as badly as I'd feared. On the other hand, there was Hogan-Warrior II... nevermind, forget I said anything.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Whenever I think I miss WCW, I think of PPVs like those. It totally makes me glad they're gone.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I remember this PPV andit wasnt aLL TOO good. Hogan/Sting again wasnt done to expectacion, including a un clear heel turn by Sting after he smashed hogan with his bat.
Guest DARRYLXWF Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Truth be told, I've never actually seen Fall Brawl 99. HH98 was an ejoyable ppv, take away the Hogan/Warrior match. I'm still kinda sad that WCW is no longer around. But I'm just waiting until someone brings back the NWA to the top (You could even make that an angle...on second thoughts...lets not).
