Do easter eggs work when using a PS2?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do most hidden eggs work when someone is using a Playstation 2 instead of a normal DVD player?

 

(and again, this might be a wicked stupid question ... if it is, sorry but I figured this is the best place to find out the answer.)

Yes.

 

If you're referring to numerical easter eggs (entering numbers on your remote control), they can be achieved by the PS2 DVD remote, or by accessing the "pop-up menu" with your PS2 controller(press select).
