How to simultaneously save WWF and NWA-TNA

Pump a bunch of $$ into NWA-TNA, get them a cable TV deal, and send Evolution to invade ala the nWo.

Wow, Tommy Fierro visits these boards?

And JAxl, I'm sure they'll find something new someday, but they need to change the way the show works fundamentally. My guess is the kayfabe "backstage" needs to become a whole universe. Nobody believes contract signgings, arrests, and so on going out in the middle of the ring with bigscreen music video and fireworks.

Although they keep trying to channel the spirit of "Attitude" (which isn't a good idea in the first place) the show feels overscripted. Tell me you don't roll your eyes when a contract is "signed in blood", an authority figure tells the police what to do (such as Bischoff leaving Kane's paddywagon unsecured), or for that matter a bunch of cops follow McMahon out to his theme music and then arrest someone because he told them to.

I think the problem is a lack of decent up and coming stars. I marked out big time when I saw the early ideas for Wrestlemania XX. Foley-HHH, Goldberg-Lesnar, Austin-McMahon, Taker-Kane, matches involving The Rock, HBK, Angle.....these matches WILL DRAW. The guys who they want to push now, Bautista, La Resistance, The Basham Bros., Matt Morgan, Nathan Jones, NO ONE CARES ABOUT THEM. And any guys who the fans did care about, and who did have marketability like RVD, Booker T, The Dudleys, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, they've gotten the shaft so much, that no one cares about them anymore either. If only the WWE would push the guys the fans want to see on top, maybe this wouldn't be a problem, but alas......it's the WWE we're talking about here.

The only bright spots they have right now as far as young talent is Cena, who forced his way to the upper mid card, and Orton who will get over cause they will keep feeding him upper carders or main eventers until he does.

JAxl is right. Guys like jericho, Benoit, Booker, the Dudleyz, etc. have all been destroyed. The WWE's biggest problem is pushing people who no one cares about character wise who have limited ring skills. Although the segment was funny because it was so stupid, there is no reason they should have wasted a good worker like Hurricane in a capture the midget contest.

Wait... so what you're saying is that Vince should give talent away to another company and get said company a cable deal? Maybe I'm missing something here, but thats not competition... thats the brand extension. Actual competition is where you actually compete with the other guy. What you're doing is racing a guy with one leg and trotting just in front of him to make sure he doesn't feel bad about himself.
