Guest Jokir Posted April 9, 2002 Report Posted April 9, 2002 WWF forceable entry for the most part pretty well bites for the most part IMHO. Instead of that what song would you give each wrestler in the WWF for an entrance song? Eg, Kane could get Incubus's Pardon Me (while I burn)
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted April 9, 2002 Report Posted April 9, 2002 you probaly want to take this over to the music folder dude, you'll get better answers.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted April 9, 2002 Report Posted April 9, 2002 Spelling "Forcible" right would have helped.
Guest Jokir Posted April 9, 2002 Report Posted April 9, 2002 you probaly want to take this over to the music folder dude, you'll get better answers. Could be true I'll grant you, but I saw a huge thread on entrance music here earlier and it was what inspired me, but you're probably right. If this thread gets little response here I'll repost over there. Course if the mods think it should be moved I'll respect that too. **notices he HAS been moved to the music folder** Well ok then! Works for me Spelling "Forcible" right would have helped. Umm...that's the Canadian spelling. Yeah that's the ticket. Anyway's I didn't think spelling was a huge deal on this board so I didn't worry about it all that much. And instead of just picking on the mistakes, how about offering a suggestion? I mean if your going to take the trouble of reading the post and replying and all...
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 i think if they used the ORIGINAL versions (i.e Motorhead, the original "never gonna stop" and the original McMahon theme) billy and chucks theme however wouldve sent it to No.1 instead of No. 3
Guest Shaved Bear Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 well if they didnt have remakes of songs and took the origninals...and didnt get such cookie cutter bands
Guest Kinetic Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 I'd suggest diversifying the talent somewhat, but it's really a moot point. It debuted at #3. They clearly know their audience. Although, as someone else noted, including Billy and Chuck's theme would have sent it into Thriller territory. We'd be seeing it on VH1's "Ultimate Albums" within a year.
Guest thevertex Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 Well, to improve the quality, they should have kept Creed and Kid Rock FAR away. Monster Magnet should have made a more fitting Hardys theme, and Drowning Pool's The Game sucks as it has been said. I also don't really like the Union Underground track. Wasn't Test supposed to get a slayer theme?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 Wasn't Test supposed to get a slayer theme? Yes, they wrote a song for him called "War Zone" and it is on slayer's new album God Hates Us All its a good song for a wrestler and a decent song in general. The "genius" Vince McMahon thought the song had too much of an edge for TV, kinda ironic isnt it
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 12, 2002 Report Posted April 12, 2002 Some songs grew on me. I turned off the Tazz song after the flatine, but I read about the commentary in the background and I wanted to hear it, so I gave it a listen. The commentary makes the song in my opinion. The Lita song grew on me too. Some songs aren't that bad if you listen a few times.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted April 14, 2002 Report Posted April 14, 2002 I don't expect anything from wrestling music. i'd never buy it, cos it's just background music allocated to some lame band so they can squeeze more $$$ out of it.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted April 14, 2002 Report Posted April 14, 2002 dont shun me but i like THE Wrestling Album. It is so crappy that its entertaining. and venturra, mcmahon, and okerlund talking between songs is genius.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 i wish i still had the superstars album o man Tatanka! Buffalo!
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I'm starting to like the RVD and Benoit songs now. I think the number of songs that I like now is maybe 5 or 6. Considering that I didn't like the songs at first, I might end up liking more than that. Maybe this album isn't that bad.
Guest converge241 Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I think my burnt cd of it is worth it in all seriousness good songs, imodo: one of a kind , the game (the motorhead version is tons better, and I hate Drowning Pool, but its starting to grow on me), glass shatters ( i had a bad burn of the live performance at WWF , i mean WWE, New York. Bad sound quality.), across the nation (that song moves, no pun intended), whatever (our lady peace is just great). I dont like anything else on it..but those few are worth it. It would have been better with Type O Negative's Kane song.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I bought it on tape, on sale, so I don't feel ripped off. The first side is decent, but everything after the RAW theme on the second side sucks, save for maybe Tazz's theme. They could have used the original HHH theme, even if it is on Vol. 5. And if the remakes for the Hardys, Lita, and Jericho's themes had maybe sounded ANYTHING like the real songs, that'd be cool.
Guest converge241 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 id like to have the slow version of the game (right before motorhead did it) and the weird stone cold songs he used in between the disturbed version and going back to the original
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I like the version of Austin's theme in the commercials for his "What?" DVD. Has the acoustic intro, then slow picking with "clean" distortion...then the heavy metal version of his theme. That's the one he used when in The Alliance, and my favorite one. I like this album. Save for a few of the songs, they're solid. First half is definitely better than the second half. The Our Lady Peace song is growing on me, but the vocals seem too "emo."
Guest Redhawk Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Put D-Von's new song on there, and make it an enchanced CD that allows you to watch the entrance videos (including Spike Dudley's "Take on Me" video).
Guest Human Fly Posted May 20, 2002 Report Posted May 20, 2002 Are the songs edited? I know some of the songs (especially Lita's) have a lot of strong language. Was curious if they edited it, or left it.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 The Union Underground song started off like it ws going to be a hard song, but I think it goes south after 30 seconds. The first 30 seconds sound pretty good, but that's about it. On a side note, I implore you to download Austin's 6th theme. That song kicks ass.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 Get rid of the Creed and Neurotica songs that arent themes and the Hardy's theme and then add Christian's theme and it would have been good. Its not that bad of a CD but it could have been better. Im still wondering when they'll enhance the CDs with the Titan Trons. That would be cool..
