Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 9, 2002 Let's say a Christian converts too Judaism because his wife is jewish. How exactly to you go from believing that Jesus is the son of God, who died for our sins. To being a member of a religion that believes the Messiah hasn't returned yet and Jesus was only a prophet. Even if your in love with the person, I find it hard to believe you can change your beliefs that drastically.
Guest Report post Posted April 9, 2002 Sooo, someone subordinated religious beliefs to love. Sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe if it happened more often, the world would be a better place.
Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted April 9, 2002 I think it would be rather simple to go from blindly believing in something with no evidence supporting it to something else with no evidence supporting it. If two people truely love each other religion shouldn't matter, if both religions spawn the same basic values the Jesus messiah/prophet issue is irrelevant. To let religion get in the way just proves how religion leads to division instead of unity.

Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 19, 2002 The only issue I would have with that is the fact that I would not want my kids to grow up w/o Christmas. It's one of the true joys I am looking forward to and I don't think I could part w/ that for anything.
