The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Yeah, I've taken this out of the book your own WrestleMania topics and added a few more months of booking. I'm only going by the "Big 5"- RR (starting in 1989), WM, KOTR (starting in '93), SummerSlam (starting in 1988) and Survivor Series (starting in 1987). Most of it is kept true to form. Ergo, since Vader wasn't in WWF in 2001, then he isn't in my federation in 2001. Too bad. I'll start updating in 20 minutes. It should be more detailed, as in how feuds were started, and give other notes during that time. Nifty.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 WrestleMania- The Beginning We all know how WrestleMania started of course. With Hulkamania drawing in large numbers, the WWF had drastically changed it's federation. Circus-like characters dominated the federation, lead by the World Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan. No longer was it a sport, but a form of entertainment. And to capitalize on it, the "Granddaddy of 'em All" was born. WrestleMania. Now, starting on January 1, 1985, here's the last 20 years of WrestleMania, rebooked, in chronological order. It gets more detailed as we go along. WrestleMania I- March 31, 1985 World Title Hulk Hogan © w/ Mr. T d. Roddy Piper w/ Paul Orndorff- Muhammad Ali was ref for the match and knocked out Orndorff when he tried to interfere. Leg drop of doom for the win. Andre the Giant d. King Kong Bundy. Andre won with a scoop-slam. Intercontinental Title Ricky Steamboat d. Greg Valentine ©. Steamboat won with a cradle. Iron Sheik d. Junk Yard Dog. Iron Sheik won by kicking JYD in the face with his boot, knocking him out. He then put him in the Camel Clutch for the easy victory. Paul Orndorff d. Mr. T with Roddy Piper's help. Piper provided the distraction that Orndorff needed to capitalize. Women's Title Wendy Richter w/ Cyndi Lauper d. Lelani Kai ©. Richter won with a backdrop off the second rope. Tag Team Titles Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham d. Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch ©. Rotundo, soon to be known as I.R.S, made the pin on Adonis for the 3. Tito Santana d. Matt Borne- Tito won with a piledriver. Nikolai Volkoff d. Brutus Beefcake- Volkoff wins with a stiff clothesline. Hogan dominated for the next few months, but it seemed like as his opponents grew in size, Hogan's stamina began to wear down. Would he be victorious at the next WrestleMania? Title changes until WM II: World: N/A IC: Savage d. Steamboat Tag: Dream Team (Greg Valentine/Brutus Beefcake) d. Windham/Rotundo Women's: Moolah d. Richter
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 (edited) WM II- Two Times the Action! With Hulk Hogan's health fading, King Kong Bundy and Roddy Piper used the opportunity to attack. Hogan was left a bloody mess on the mat as Bundy and Piper continued to attack. While the two goons bickered to whom should recieve the title shot at WrestleMania, Mr. T made his triumphant return, swinging a chair all the way. As Piper and Bundy ducked out, 'T tended to his fallen friend. It was decided then, that Hogan and Mr. T would face Bundy and Piper..in a cage! WrestleMania II- April 7, 1986 Hulk Hogan and Mr. T d. King Kong Bundy and Roddy Piper in a cage match when Hogan and Mr. T hit stereo legdrops. Ricky Steamboat d. Terry Funk when Steamboat splashed him off the top rope. Intercontinental Title Randy Savage © d. Dynamite Kid when Randy hit the elbow. British Bulldog d. Paul Orndorff after Bulldog reversed a reversal of a cross-body. Women's Title Velvet McIntyre d. Fabulous Moolah © when Moolah submitted to the figure-four. World Tag Team Titles Tito Santana and Junk Yard Dog d. Dream Team © by countout. Bret Hart won a 10 Man Battle Royal, last eliminating Andre the Giant when Nikolai Volkoff interfered. After the match, Andre took down both Bret and Nikolai. Don Muraco d. Adrian Adonis when Muraco made Adonis submit to a full nelson. Hercules d. Uncle Elmer when Hercules hit a boot. Jake Roberts d. George "The Animal" Steele when Roberts made Steele doze off during a sleeper hold. With Hulk Hogan seemingly invincible, a big opponent was needed. Andre the Giant, very upset after losing the Battle Royal, got too cocky and declared that he could crush anything in his path..including Hulkamania. After adopting Bobby Heenan as his manager, one of wrestling's biggest feuds was born. Title changes: Intercontinental: The title was switched back to Savage, when Santana was brutally attacked by the Macho Man, following the match. Tito Santana d. Randy Savage Tag: British Bulldogs d. Dream Team Edited November 27, 2003 by CM Funk
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 WrestleMania III- What the World is Watching As WrestleMania drawed closer, one thing was questioned: Could Hulk Hogan defeat the immortal giant? Hogan swore up and down, with the power of his Hulkamaniacs, he could achieve anything in the ring. But would the Hulkamaniacs be enough to stop this beast? But as this feud neared it's conclusion, it seemed as though there was much, much more to this story. WrestleMania III- April 5, 1987 World Title Hulk Hogan © d. Andre the Giant with a bodyslam/Leg Drop. Harley Race d. Tito Santana Honky Tonk Man d. Roddy Piper by disqualification, when Piper smashed a guitar on Honky Tonk's head. Brutus Beefcake then helped shave his head. Intercontinental Title Ricky Steamboat d. Randy Savage © to win the title. Savage had become the champion when the previous champion, Tito Santana, was forced to vacate it due to injuries suffered by an attack from Savage. Jake the Snake Roberts d. King Kong Bundy Hercules d. Hillbilly Jim Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff d. The Killer Bees Tag Team Titles The Hart Foundation d. British Bulldogs © Rick Martel and Tom Zenk d. Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake Junkyard Dog d. Adrian Adonis Kamala d. Koko B. Ware With Hogan having defeated everyone WWF has to offer, it seemed as though he would reign supreme forever. But everything was about to change. Before a scheduled match with "Million-Dollar Man", Ted Dibiase, two of the most dominating men in the business, the rookie Bam Bam Bigelow and Andre the Giant attacked Hulk Hogan, brutally leaving him a mess on the canvas. As much as Hogan tried to battle back when the match was started, it was no use. Hogan eventually lost the match, and the World Title, to the Million Dollar Man. As Dibiase celebrated, paying off his hired thugs, a now-popular challenger was waiting for him at WrestleMania IV: The Macho Man, Randy Savage. Title changes until WM IV: World: Ted Dibiase d. Hulk Hogan Tag Team: Strike Force d. Hart Foundation

The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 I like this, keep it up. I have all the results done (see "Book your Own WrestleMania"), I just haven't gotten around to putting it into storyline terms. I'll make sure to do some more this week, though.
