Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Can someone explain Misawa's Emerald Frozion move to me? I am sure that I've seen him use it in matches, but an explanation would be nice as I am drawing a blank right now.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 I'm pretty sure the Emerald Frosion is something like a sitout powerslam.
Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Yeah, I thought it was something like that. Thanks.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 If it's the move I'm thinking of (titled in most US wrestling games as Emerald Fusion, but Dace would know better than I would), it's a piledriver variation with the opponent over the shoulder of the performer, facing towards the performer. The performer then falls to the side into a semi-seated/semi-lying position, and drives the opponent down on their upper back.
Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 Yes, I saw a match today with Misawa using the Emerald Frozion and it was pretty much exactly as you described. Thank you for the reply.
LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 There's two variations to the move - 1. you can do a non-cradle version or 2. you can stick your arm in between the guy's legs and add the cradle to it. Version 1. was Tommy Dreamer's Dreamer Driver. Version 2. was Hayabusa's H Thunder. I'd describe Emerald Frosion/Fusion as being a Side Sitdown Bodyslam Piledriver, with a Single-Leg Cradle added in if you so desire.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted November 30, 2003 There are actually two versions, the version most commonly used is the sit out scoop slam version, which is obviously safter, but once in a blue moon (aka only Misawa vs Kobashi) Misawa will bust out the head spike version seen in the AKI video games. I haven't seen 3/1/03 yet, so I don't know which version of it Kobashi kicked out of.
