Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Has anyone else played NFS: Underground? I started playing it a couple of days ago, and so far, it’s awesome. The game is very easy to pick up and play, which is a definite plus in my book. The control is nice and responsive, which is essential in a driving game. I’m already getting pretty good at both drifting and timing my shifts during drag races. Most of the time, I either get a good shift or a perfect shift. The game runs really smooth. Even at speeds exceeding 170 mph, I’ve yet to see any slowdown. Some of the cars are fast enough as it is, but when you start adding nitrous oxide, it gets insane. The ability to customize cars, in addition to the amount of unlockables in Underground mode, gives this game great replay value. It’s definitely in my top 5 PS2 games of the year.
