Guest ligerbomb03 Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Jado & Gedo are your new IWGP Jr. Tag-Team champions in New Japan. For crying out loud, why the hell did they put two titles on Jado? Why do they have these guys winning all the time? Oh well, at least Tiger Mask IV was on the winning side of his match.
Guest Black Tiger Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 I can tell you why. The fans and smarks alike HATE Jado, Gedo, and Takemura. So by putting them over big it makes the fans hate them even more. The idea of a shit head like Jado with two belts makes me sick, but Takemura wouldn't make a credible singles champion. Damn I dislike Murakami for putting Kanemoto on the shelf right now.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Jado and Gedoh have been booked as strong heels in the junior division since they started working New Japan. Believe it or not, I think that factors in more than the bad rep they have with internet fans for being shody workers. Liger obviously wants the Jado/Gedoh/Takemura heel stable to act as a cornerstone for the junior division, and there's no better way to accomplish that than to give them the gold.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Geez, it pisses me off to no end that a talentless piece of shit like Jado has two titles now. Why out of all the talented juniors in Japan do these two get the pushes?
Guest RickyChosyu Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 That's an interesting point; why not build on it? What juniors working Japan right now would be better suited for the roles Jado and Gedoh currently have? Why not talk about that instead of belly aching? There's enough people bitching about New Japan right now. I think what we could all use is some decent analysis on why things aren't going so hot.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Why not let American Dragon have the ball? He's a relatively new face there and an extremely good worker. Kanemoto's still around and would be good in their spot despite his age. Heat's a very solid tag wrestler and would make a good half of the champs. Curry Man, Tiger Mask and Super Crazy I would all prefer over Gedo/Jado with the belts.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Kanemoto's out of action with a cheekbone injury right now though.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 Jado & Gedo are no way as bad as people like to make them out to be.To call Jado "a talentless piece of shit" is a bit much, they are solid workers and a good heel tag team.

I do agree that people are a little hard on Gedo and Jado, but the only reason is that compared to the Jr's over years past they are VERY weak. I've never been the biggest fans of theirs myself but they don't have many other choices. I personally would like to see them work in guys like American Dragon a little more, but i guess they are less likely to commit to him because he isn't a full timer.
Guest Black Tiger Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Gedo and Jado are both mediocre in my opinion. I've seen Gedo really look good in some six and eight man tags, but Jado has never done anything for me. I can think of several guys who'd be better suited for the push Jado and Gedo are getting right now, but they aren't NJPW full timers so its understandable that Lyger would be unwilling to get that much behind them. Dick Togo, Ikuto Hidaka, Minoru Fujita, would all be better off than Gedo and Jado.

Dick Togo, Ikuto Hidaka, Minoru Fujita, would all be better off than Gedo and Jado. Now this, I totally agree with. I think sometimes people are a little too harsh with Gedo, as you said about the 6 and 8 man's that he was in that have solid action in them. But Jado has done nothing for me as well. But it must be the full time factor as I hope Liger would be smarter than to do that. I think that once Kanemoto is back, it should be better though. I am definately a fan of someone like Togo, Hidaka, Fujita, Curry Man, Tiger Mask, and like I said before American Dragon. But obviously there are reason's that are out of my personal knowledge that stop this from happening.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Gedo has done pretty good in the tag matches. I am more disappointed at the idea of Jado holding two titles. Maybe there is a good reason or maybe Lyger made a mistake... it's not for me to judge.

I would have to say that they wouldn't go over a Kanemoto unless they were really trying to phase him out. But I doubt that is a reality with how short their Jr's roster is on good talent. At least from the fulltimers.
