Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 9, 2002 This starts at the Night of the Champions, a last minute deal was brought about with WCW when Richard Batt managed to convince Richard Branson (owner of Virgin) to buy WCW and give him control of it. Richard Batt negotiated a deal with the Fox network to show WCW television programs (currently only Nitro & Saturday Night). WCW Nitro: Night Of The Champions (26/3/01) James J. Dillon announces from his office that tonight is the end of WCW on TNT. He thanks the fans for all of the years of watching WCW on the Turner Networks and he says that tonight's Night Of The Champions is a thank you to the fans as well as a tribute to all of the Wrestlers that made WCW what it was. He says that on the 9th of April at 8PM on Fox WCW will announce their new owner, a man who will direct WCW into an exiting future. He announces that the WCW Cruiserweight and World Tag Team Titles have been vacated and that tonight new champions will be decided in four-way Tag Team Matches between any Tag Teams who wish to enter. He asks the Wrestlers who wish to enter the match to hand in the application outside of his office before the end of the first match which is a Cruiserweight Title Match between Shane Helms and Chavo Guerrero Jr. He also announces that as well as the World and US Title Unification Match the main event of the evening will be a special match. A match which is a tribute the superstars over the years in WCW. It is a match to determine the Franchise of World Championship Wrestling between the two greatest Wrestlers in the history of the company - the 14 time World Champion Ric Flair and the man currently known as the "Franchise" of WCW - Sting. The original (1995) WCW Nitro intro sequence plays and then mixes into the WCW Nitro sequence from 1999 before mixing into the current WCW Nitro sequence. Tony Schiavonne introduces us to the Night Of The Champions. The final night of Pro Wrestling on the Turner Networks! Backstage Chuck Palumbo is outside of JJ Dillons Office hoping that Sean O'Haire will turn up so that he can enter the Tag Team Title Match, Shawn Stasiak walks over looking for Mark Jindrak. Stasiak says "Look Who it is, the man who abandond the Perfect Event, where's you're Tag Team Partner now". Chuck Palumbo asks if he wants to team up with him tonight one last time for the Tag Team Titles, Stasiak says "Why Not" and Chuck Palumbo wrights down "The Perfect Event" on the sheet for the match as Sean O'Haire walks up behind them and asks what Palumbo is doing teaming with Stasiak again. Chuck Palumbo says that he was looking for Sean O'Haire but he couldn't find him and he wants the Tag Team Titles. Mark Jindrak walks in and asks what's going on. Sean O'Haire says that Palumbo and Stasiak are teaming up again, and he asks what he thinks about teaming back up as Jindrak & O'Haire again. Mark Jindrak says that they are going destroy The Perfect Event and then writes down Jindrak & O'Haire on the sheet. A Video Package is shown about all of the great Cruiserweight Champions like Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko before the match. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Shane Helms d. Chavo Guerrero Jr. (16:17) **1/4 The cameras show La Parka running up to James J. Dillion with a man to translae for him. He asks if it's too late to enter the Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match. JJ says that the match is just about to start and asks him if he has a Tag Team Partner, La Parka says to hold on a minute and he walks off screen for about 5 seconds and walks back on with... Lizmark Jr! He says that they'll team up tonight as the Latino World order! WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match The Filthy Animals d. Three Count, The Latino World order & The Jung Dragons (24:17) ** Ric Flair is interviewed backstage by Gene Okerland, he says that tonight's match isn't just about Ric Flair and Sting, it's about the Dusty Rhodes, the Hulk Hogan's, the Bill Goldberg's, the Bret Hart's, all of the superstars that made WCW what it is. He says that this match is a tribute to all of the stars from WCW history and a thank you to all of the fans during the Turner era. A video package is shown about all of the great Tag Team Champions like The Steiners, the Outsiders, the Midnight Express, The Rock & Roll Express and the different members of the Horsemen. KroniK walk out first, followed by Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire, followed by The Perfect Event.... then Bill Alfonso walks out with a mic and tells the fans that he's come over from a rival Wrestling Promotion and he has a new team to debut tonight and he points towards the entryway as..... Rob Van Dam & Sabu walk out!!! WCW Tag Team Title Match Rob Van Dam/Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) d. KroniK, Jindrak & O'Haire & The Perfect Event (14:03) 1/2* After the match Jindrak & O'Haire & The Perfect Event look angry with each other in the ring but then turn and attack Van Dam & Sabu before dropping the Titles on top of them and walking backstage. Booker T is interviewed by Gene Okerland backstage. He says that tonight he's going to dig deep inside, because everyone sees him as an underdog. But he knows that he's not an underdog and that he will out the WCW World Champion. Scott Steiner is interviewed by Pamela Paulshock. He says that he'll walk away from the match the WCW World Champion because he's the big bad bootie daddy! A video package is shown first showing the great US Champions like Magnum TA, Ric Flair, Booker T, Chris Benoit, DDP, Bret Hart and Lance Storm before going into a video package showing the great World Champions like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, Goldberg and Lex Luger. WCW World Title & WCW United States Title Unification Match Booker T d. Scott Steiner (15:05) **1/2 Sting is interviewed backstage by Gene Okerland, he tells Gene that Sting has been in WCW through everything and he wouldn't miss tonight's Night Of The Champions for anything. He says that this match is between two Wrestlers synonimous with the WCW name and that both of them have a lot of respect for each other and for all of the stars that made WCW what it is. He says that whoever wins the match will deserve the Title "Franchise of WCW". A video package is shown of both Ric Flair's and Sting's history's. Franchise Of WCW Match Sting d. Ric Flair (17:25) **1/4 After the match Ric Flair and Sting hug and Ric Flair raises Sting's arm in victory as Confetti drops from the ceiling and the scene fades out into a video package of the big events in the Turner era. At the end of the video package the WCW logo is shown and underneath it is written "Where The Big Boys Play - Now On Fox!" WCW Nitro (9/4/01) The show opens with James J. Dillon in his office, he introduces the fans to the Fox era and says that after the first match he will announce the new owner of World Championship Wrestling. A new intro sequence is shown which is like the old WCW Nitro intro sequences from 1995. The Wrestlers on the montage are Booker T holding up the World Title, Sting, Ric Flair, Scott Steiner & Bill Goldberg Announcers are Tony Schiavonne and Scott Hudson. Tony Schiavonne announces that tonight is the start of a new era in WCW. He announces that tonight Shane Helms will have a rematch with Chavo Guerrero Jr, The Filthy Animals will defend their WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles against Three Count and that WCW will find out their new owner TONIGHT! He then announces that our first match is coming up right now. Juventud Guerrera d. Kid Kash (13:51) ****1/4 James J. Dillon comes to the ring to announce the new owner of WCW but is interrupted by previous owner Vince Russo! Vince Russo comes to the ring and says that he never got a fair shot at being owner of WCW because the previous owner screwed everything up leaving him to clean up the mess. He says that he should be reinstated as owner of WCW. JJ Dillon says that he will leave the decision up to the fans. The nWo Nightcap music hit the speakers and Eric Bischoff walked down to the ring, he says that he was owner of WCW during it's strongest run. He says that he almost put the WWF out of business and that he should get another chance to show what he can do. JJ Dillon says that he had already made up his mind to allow the fans to make the decision... but he has a better idea. On May 13th WCW will hold the Great American Bash at the Baltmore Arena. Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo will go one on one and the winner will become the new owner of WCW! Eric Bischoff says "Sounds Good", Vince Russo turns around and walks backstage. JJ Dillion says that he will remain in power until after the Pay-Per-View. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Shane Helms d. Chavo Guerrero Jr. (16:32) **1/2 Chuck Palumbo walks into Sean O'Haire backstage. He asks Sean O'Haire if they want to team up again tonight like they should have last week for a shot at the WCW Tag Team Titles. Sean O'Haire looks unsure but agrees because it's a shot at the Titles. Booker T is interviewed by Mean Gene Okerland, he puts out an open challange for a shot at the Titles tonight. WCW Cruiserweight Tag Title Match The Filthy Animals d. Three Count (15:46) *3/4 Eric Bischoff was shown walking outside of the arena ready to drive back home but when he got to the spot where he parked his car, it had smashed up with a note on the window saying "See you at the Bash - Russo". Eric Bischoff stood looking pissed off. Sting was interviewed by Mean Gene Okerland in the ring without the face paint on. He said that it's great to be seen as the Franchise of WCW and that beating Ric Flair was the greatest moment of his career. He says that tonight is not only a new era for WCW, but it's a new era for the Stinger. Shane Douglas' music hit the speakers and he walked out. He said that he has no right to call himself the Franchise of WCW. WCW can only have one Franchise and that's Shane Douglas. Sting says that the match he won last week made him the Franchise of WCW. He asks Sting to put the Title of "the Franchise" on the line at the Great American Bash. Sting agreed to. Eric Bischoff was shown phoning for a rental car. He asked them to bring it to the North Carolina Civic Centre. When he put the phone down Kevin Nash walked past him, Eric Bischoff said hi to him and asked him if he's signed a contract with the new WCW. Kevin Nash said that he had and that it was "cool" to see Eric Bischoff here. He asked if Eric needed a lift in the limo and Eric said that he did. As Eric Bischoff was getting in the Limo Kevin Nash attacked him and left him out cold on the floor. WCW Tag Team Title Match Rob Van Dam/Sabu d. Palumbo & O'Haire by DQ (8:18) 3/4* The match ended with Mike Sanders, Mark Jindrak & Shawn Stasiak attacking RVD & Sabu. Mike Sanders got on the mic and said that the Natural Born Thrillers are back together! He said that WCW better watch out because this time they are going straight to the top! He said that if they all work together then WCW won't be able to stop them. Eric Bischoff was shown being helped into his rental car by Diamond Dalllas Page. Booker T came out and waited for his opponent who was... Ric Flair! WCW Unified World/United States Title Match Booker T d. Ric Flair (15:27) *** The match finished when Scott Steiner attacked both Wrestlers and rolled Booker T on top of Flair for the win. He said that he wants a rematch at the Great American Bash! Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 9, 2002 WCW Monday Nitro (16/4/01) JJ Dillon opened the show announcing that the matches currently made for WCW Great American Bash 2001 are Booker T Vs Scott Steiner for the WCW World Heavyweight Title, Sting Vs Shane Douglas for the Title of "Franchise of WCW" and Vince Russo Vs Eric Bischoff for control of WCW. After the WCW intro sequence Jodie Fleisch was shown on his way to the ring. Tony Schiavonne put him over as a young Cruiserweight from England. He was scheduled for his first Nitro match with fellow WCW Newcomer Chris Chetti. Jodie Fleisch d. Chris Chetti (8:13) **1/2 After the match another newcommer ran down to the ring and attacked Jodie Fleisch then walked backstage. Tony Schiavonne asked who he was and Scott Hudson said that he looks like British Cruiserweight Jonny Storm. He says that Jodie Fleisch and Jonny Storm have had an ongoing rivalry for years. Juventud Guerrera asked JJ Dillon for a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Title, Dillon agreed to give him the shot right now. Eric Bischoff was shown in an office on the phone asking for help from an old friend. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Shane Helms d. Juventud Guerrera (13:42) ***1/2 Gene Okerland interviewed Vince Russo and Kevin Nash. He asked why Nash attacked Bischoff last week, Nash said that he wanted to help out the guy that helped make his career, Vince Russo. He also said that Bischoff almost destroyed his career and he'd do anything to get back at him for that. Russo said that Bischoff has burnt all of his bridges in WCW and that Russo has still got friends backstage, like Nash. He tells Bischoff that no-one wants him in control of WCW so he should just give up right now. Tony Marinara walked out to the ring and he talked about his loan shark business that he's had for years. He said that he came into WCW back in 1999 to collect his money from the Disco Inferno. He said that he's back again to collect money that he lent to Dustin Rhodes. He called Dustin out from the back to pay him. Dustin didn't appear, he said that he has two weeks to pay him or he's bringing "the boys" back. Backstage Dustin Rhodes was shown driving away from the arena, Tony Schiavonne said that he doesn't see why people still borrow money from Tony Marinara. WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match The Filthy Animals (w/Torrie Wilson) d. The West Hollywood Blondes (10:36) *1/2 Backstage Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner were walking about, Scott asked Rick to soften Booker T up a bit before their match. Sabu and Rob Van Dam walked down to the ring with Bill Alfonso. Bill Alfornso called any Tag Team out from the back to face them tonight. Some unfamilier music started up and Christian York & Joey Matthews walked out. Christian York said that both men had respect for Sabu & Rob Van Dam and that they'll take a shot at the Titles. WCW Tag Team Title Match Sabu/Rob Vam Dam (w/Bill Alfonso) d. The Young Lions (15:18) ** After the match The Young Lions shook hands with Sabu/Rob Van Dam before all four men were attacked by the NBT. Mike Sanders called Sabu and Van Dam out for a match with either two members at the Great American Bash. Eric Bischoff was shown trying to convince his old friend to help him out, bringing up his history with Vince Russo. WCW Unified World/United States Title Match Booker T d. Rick Steiner (12:16) 1/4* Rick Steiner fought as hard as he could against Booker T but he lost the match. After the match Scott Steiner & Midajah attacked Booker T and beat him down. JJ Dillon walked out and said that next week he wants the Steiner Brothers to team up against Booker T and a partner of his choice, the Steiners agreed to the match. The cameras went back to Eric Bischoff on the phone to his old friend. He asked if he'd be here next week then said "ok" and smiled before hanging up. A door opened in the room and the camera panned round to show Kevin Nash and Vince Russo walking in Russo holding a chair and laughing while Kevin Nash had a baseball bat as the show went off the air. WCW Monday Nitro (23/4/01) The show opened with JJ Dillon telling WCW Wrestlers that if they want to make a match then this is the last show which they can make the match on. He says that the Challange from the NBT has been answered over the week and Sabu & Rob Van Dam will face them regardless of whether they are Tag Team Champions or not. He said that Jodie Fleisch has challanged Jonny Storm to a match at the Great Ameican Bash after the attack last week and we will find out his answer tonight. He announced that the Cruiserweight and Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles are currently not on the line in any matches at the Pay-Per-View, but he will be taking names from the people who wish to challange for the Titles tonight and he will make matches for those Titles next week. The WCW opening sequence played and Tony Schiavonne talked about what happened as we were going off the air last week. A video clip was shown starting from Eric Bischoff hanging up the phone and then Russo & Nash showing up. Nash picked up Bischoff and threw him against the wall before beating down on him and lifting him up so that Vince Russo could hit him with a Chair. Russo hit him with the Chair and then taunted him as Nash Powerbombed Bischoff threw the desk. As Nash Powerbombed him threw the desk DDP walked in and give Russo a Diamond Cutter before squaring up to Nash. Schiavonne speculated that DDP may be the man that Bischoff was talking on the phone to last week but Scott Hudson doubted it. Jonny Storm was backstage with Gene Okerland. Okerland asked if Jonny Storm accepted the match with Jodie Fleisch next week. He said that he'll do more than just accept the match, he wants Jodie Fleisch in a Ladder Match. La Parka and Lizmark Jr walked up to JJ Dillon backstage with their translator, they asked about having a match for the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles at the Great American Bash. JJ Dillon said that he was going to wait until next week to make a match but if they beat The Jung Dragons tonight then they have the shot. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Shane Helms d. Psicosis (14:02) *** Dustin Rhodes was in his locker room looking nervous, he jumped as the door opened but the camera panned round and it was just his father Dusty Rhodes. Dustin asked what he was doing here and Dusty said that he came here to help him out. He asked how much Dustin owed Tony Marinara, Dustin said that it's none of his business and he wants to sort this out on his own. Dusty said that he's here if he needs any help and then walked out and shut the door. The cameras showed Eric Bischoff and DDP waiting in the Parking lot. DDP asked if he was sure that he'd be here this week. Bischoff said that he was completely sure as the cameras went back to the arena. WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Contenders Match The Latino World order d. The Jung Dragons **1/2 Eric Bischoff and DDP were shown again, Kevin Nash & Russo attacked them with chairs, Nash went to Power Bomb Eric Bischoff as a limo pulled up and HULK HOGAN stepped out of it! Nash and Russo walked away from Hogan and Russo looked shocked and scared as Nash just looked pissed off at him. As Hulk Hogan shouted at Nash & Russo SCOTT HALL came up behind Hogan and knocked him out with a Tazer. The cameras showed Dustin Rhodes looking nervous again and he jumped as the door opened again, but this time it was just the Disco Inferno. Disco said that he knows Marinara and "his boys" very well, he said that if he needs any help with them to just call him. Dustin said he'd do that. Disco walked out and shut the door. Mike Sanders tells Palumbo & O'Haire that they'll face Sabu & Van Dam at the Great American Bash and then tells Stasiak & Jindrak that they'll challange the Champions tonight! WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match The Filthy Animals (w/Torrie Wilson) d. Chavo Guerrero Jr & Christopher Daniels (14:05) ** After the match The Latino World order attacked both teams and told The Filthy Animals that the Titles are going to the Latino World order at the Bash. The cameras showed Hulk Hogan getting checked on by some paramedics as DDP and Bischoff checked on him. DDP looked pissed off and walked away as Bischoff shouted to him "Where are you going?".. Nash, Russo and Hall were shown celebrating inside Russo's office. Hall opened a bottle of champaigne and poured some out for Nash & Russo, Russo asked Hall if he was having any and Nash said "He's staying sober" as Hall got out some non-alcaholic Champaigne and poured it out for himself. They raised a glass and toasted to "The New Owner of WCW!" then they raised their glass in a toast to "The Reformation of the Outsiders"! Dustin Rhodes was shown looking nervous again and he decided to get up and walk out. But Marinara walked in just as he was leaving! He asked him if he had his money, Dustin said that he didn't. Marinara said that he doesn't like it when people don't pay him and it makes him mad. He give him one more week to pay him back or he's bringing his boys in, but first he's going to give him a warning and he pulled a knife out of his pocket and went to cut Dustin Rhodes arm but Disco Inferno walked past and seen him then ran in and attacked Tony Marinara. Tony Marinara walked out and said "You got lucky, remember, pay me next week or i'm bringing the boys in!". Booker T was shown asking someone to be his Tag Team Partner but you couldn't see who it was. DDP was shown talking to JJ Dillon but you couldn't hear what they were saying. WCW Tag Team Title Match Sabu/Rob Van Dam (w/Bill Alfonso) d. Thrillers Shawn & Mark (10:09) 3/4* After the match the NBT ran out and attacked Sabu/Van Dam, Mike Sanders got a microphone and told Sabu/Van Dam that they won't be so lucky at the bash because the NBT are going to kick their asses! JJ Dillon announced from his office that "due to the attacks by Vince Russo, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall on DDP, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff I have decided to make a change to the scheduled match between Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff. This match will now become an elimination 6-Man Tag match. Eric Bischoff's team will be Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan & Diamond Dallas Page, while Vince Russo's team will be Vince Russo and The Outsiders. This match is to attempt to make sure that outside interfierence doesn't affect the outcome and also to give the Wrestlers an attempt to end the rivalry in the ring.". The Outsiders and Vince Russo were shown laughing in their dressing room. Kevin Nash says "Now we definatly know which team are going to win!" DDP is shown telling Eric Bischoff about the change that JJ Dillon has made to the match. The cameras go back to JJ Dillon who announces that a Ladder match has been made between Jodie Fleisch and Jonny Storm. And the Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match has been finalised between The LWo and The Filthy Animals. The Steiner Brothers were shown walking to the ring. Booker T's music hit the speakers and he stood waiting for his Tag Team Partner..... Stevie Ray!!! Harlem Heat d. The Steiner Brothers (Stevie Ray pinned Rick Steiner) (11:03) -** After the match Booker T and Stevie Ray celebrated until Midajah handed Scott Steiner a lead pipe and he nailed both Booker T and Stevie Ray over the head with it as the show went off the air. Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 11, 2002 WCW Monday Nitro (29/4/02) JJ Dillon opens the show announcing the whole card for the WCW Great American Bash as it currently stands: Booker T Vs Scott Steiner for the Unified World and US Titles Sting Vs Shane Douglas for the Title of "Franchise" of WCW Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan & DDP Vs Vince Russo, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall for control of the company Rob Van Dam & Sabu Vs Palumbo & O'Haire for the WCW Tag Team Titles The Filthy Animals Vs The Latino World order for the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles Jodie Fleisch Vs Jonny Storm in a Ladder Match He says that last week was the last week where you could make any matches but tonight the number one contender or maybe even "Contenders" will be made for the WCW Cruiserweight Title in an Tag Team Elimination match. He has put all 10 names of the Wrestlers who applied for the match into a hat and chosen them at random on seperate teams. The Survivors at the end of the match will become the Number One Contenders for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. This may make the match anything from a 1 on 1 battle to maybe even a 6-way match! He announced team 1 as Blitzkrieg, Jushin Lyger, Chavo Guerrero Jr, Donovan Morgan & Juventud Guerrero and he announced team 2 as Psicosis, Dragon Kid, Jerry Lynn, Reckless Youth & Christopher Daniels. He said that some Wrestlers were turned down spors int the match because they were already booked in a match at the Great American Bash. He announced that The Young Lions asked for a Tag Team Title rematch and that he gave it to them tonight! He announced that tonight's Main Event will be Sting Vs Booker T for the WCW Unified World & United States Title. JJ Dillon also announced that WCW Saturday Night will start up the week after WCW Great American Bash. Jodie Fleisch d. Shannon Moore (8:54) *3/4 After the match Jonny Storm attacked Jodie Fleisch and then brought a ladder into the ring and went to moonsault off it... but Jodie Fleisch moved out of the way and went up top to give him a Frog Splash off it... BUT Jonny Storm got to his feet and pushed the ladder into the ropes sending Jodie Fleisch out of the ring! Jonny Storm then went to the top rope and moonsaulted onto Jodie Fleisch on the outside and walked away. Sting was shown entering the arena, Shane Douglas attacked him and said "Don't forget about the match at the Bash". Gene Okerland asked Jonny Storm why he attacked Jodie Fleisch. He said that it's because there's only room for one British talent in WCW. He said that Jodie Fleisch has been getting all of the matches and he's taking his spot in WCW. He said that after he beats him at the Great American Bash he's going to become the number one British Star in WCW. Tony Marinara walked out to the ring with a suitcase and Johnny The Bull/Big Vito dragged out Dustin Rhodes behind him. Tony Marinara said that he wants the money right now from Dustin Rhodes, he asked Dustin if he had the money and he said "no". So he told the boys to beat him up a little bit. Johnny The Bull & Big Vito both beat down on him until Disco Inferno ran out and tried to help him... but Tony Marinara hit him with the suitcase and he got beat down too.... Dusty Rhodes then came out and used elbows to take down Johnny The Bull/Big Vito and Tony Marinara. Tony Marinara shouted at Dusty Rhodes as Johnny The Bull & Big Vito walked backstage dissapointed. Dustin Rhodes got back to his feet and looked a bit dissapointed as he helped Disco Inferno up to his feet. DDP, Bischoff and Hogan were shown walking into the arena. Nash attacked Hogan, Hall attacked DDP and Russo attacked Bischoff and walked pastt them laughing. Backstage DDP, Bischoff and Hogan were interviewed by Gene Okerland, DDP challanged Scott Hall to a match next week. Hogan said "Watcha gonna do Russo when DDP, EZE and the Hulkster run wild on you!" and Eric Bischoff said that he can't wait to kick Russo's ass for destroying WCW! WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Match The Filthy Animals (w/Torrie Wilson) d. The Jung Dragons (7:07) *3./4 During the match The Latino World order and their translator came down to the ring to watch the Filthy Animals in action when the match finished they applauded The Filthy Animals and walked backstage. Vince Russo, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall were interviewed by Gene Okerland. Vince Russo said that he made WCW great after Eric Bischoff almost destroyed it. He said that when he wins control of WCW at the Great American Bash he'll still have a job availible for Eric Bischoff - he can be a Janitor!! Scott Hall accepted the match with DDP next week and he said that he can't wait to destroy Bischoff, DDP and Hulk Hogan.... that's if DDP makes it to the Bash. Kevin Nash said that Vince Russo helped make him a star in WCW after Bischoff almost ruined his career. He said that he can't wait for Russo to get back in control of WCW so that things can get back to normal! WCW Tag Team Title Match RVD/Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) drew with The Young Lions (8:32) *1/4 The NBT attacked both teams and Mike Sanders complained that they have to wait until the Great American Bash to get a match but the Young Lions get a shot now because they went and asked for one. Mike Sanders said that he's happy that in two weeks time WCW will have a new owner because they can't put up with JJ's shit for much longer. JJ Dillion walked out and said that The NBT have had many shots at the Tag Team Titles and he's giving the shots to other teams before the PPV. Mike Sanders said that Chuck Palumbo and Mark Jindrak want a shot next week. JJ Dillon made the match. Backstage Scott Steiner told Mean Gene Okerland that he's going to make sure that Booker T holds the Title until the Pay-Per-View because he wants to destroy Booker T and get back HIS property as revenge for Booker T getting a "fluke win" at the Night Of The Champions. WCW Unified World/United States Title Match Booker T d. Sting (8:45) **1/4 Scott Steiner, Miajah & Shane Douglas came out and attacked both Sting and Booker T. Scott Steiner put Booker T on top of Sting for the pin and walked backstage with Midajah. Shane Douglas kicked Booker T out of the ring and beat down on Sting and give him the Franchiser. Then he taunter Sting as Booker T climbed in the ring behind him. As Shane Douglas turned round Booker T gave him the Book End as the show went off the air! Guest Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Great booking mate. Like the way your making the titles all seem important. Good build up to all angles, even the mid card. My only negatives would be thier doesn't seem to be enough Heavy-Weights. Where are the likes of Jarrett, Storm, Awesome, Bagwell and Vampiro. He announced that tonight Mark Jindrak & Chuck Palumbo are going to face Sabu & Rob Van Dam in a WCW Tag Team Title Match and that also tonight's DDP is going to face Scott Hall! Jonny Storm d. Dragon Kid (8:43) **1/2 After the macth Jonny Storm said that he was going to destroy Jodie Fleisch at the Great American Bash and become the top British star in WCW! Jodie Fleisch walked out and asked why Jonny Storm had to wait until the Great American Bash, Jonny Storm told Jodie Fleisch to bring it on and he ran down to the ring but JJ Dillon walked out and said that they have the Ladder Match made of the Great American Bash, but if they want to then they can take part in a three way dance with Shane Helms for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Both Wrestlers agreed to the match. JJ Dillon told Jerry Lynn and Psicosis that he wanted to give the fans a preview of the WCW Cruiserweight Title Match at the Great American Bash by facing each other right now. After Lynn and Psicosis walked out of the room, he called for Booker T and Scott Steiner. Pamela Paulshock interviewed Shane Helms. Shane Helms said that he was going to watch Jerry Lynn and Psicosis face off tonight and see study their moves to get ready for their match at the Great American Bash. He said that he respects Psicosis and Jerry Lynn but he promises to leave The Baltimore Arena with the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Psicosis d. Jerry Lynn (10:21) ***1/2 Jerry Lynn was attacked by Chavo Guerrero Jr & Juventud Guerrera during the match giving Psicosis the win. JJ Dillons office was shown, security was keeping Booker T and Scott Steiner away from each other. JJ Dillon said that last week Scott Steiners attack on Booker T with Shane Douglas has caused him to suspend both Wrestlers from the arena tonight to make sure that both Wrestlers are at 100% at the Great American Bash. JJ Dillon told security to escort them out of the arena. Tony Marinara, Big Vito & Johnny The Bull were shown arriving at the arena. Tony Marinara said that he's getting his money from Dustin Rhodes tonight. Security was shown escorting Booker T and Scott Steiner out of the arena, Scott Steiner attacked the Security surounding him with his Lead Pipe then attacked the security surounding Booker T and Scott Steiner & Booker T brawled for a bit until Scott Steiner hit him with the lead pipe and layed him out then walked off saying "See you at the Bash Booker!" WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles The Filthy Animals (w/Torrie Wilson) d. Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo (13:05) *3/4 JJ Dillon was shown checking on Booker T he said that he should be ok. He just took a few stiff shots with the Lead Pipe. The Latino World order walked out to watch the Filthy Animals again. Rey Jr and Kidman looked suprised to see them watching the match, but after winning the match the LWo applauded them and walked backstage again as the Filthy Animals looked confused. Backstage Shane Douglas told Mean Gene Okerland that he's been the Franchise everywhere he's been in his career and this week at the Great American Bash he will become the Franchise once again. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Shane Helms Vs Jodie Fleisch Vs Jonny Storm Jonny Storm & Jodie Fleisch double teamed Shane Helms early on in the macth hoping to win the Title and make their Great American Bash match a match for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. But Jodie Fleisch and Jonny Storm's rivalry showed back up again as Jodie Fleisch tried to pin Shane Helms and both Jonny Storm and Jodie Fleisch started to fight against each other. Jonny Storm almost won the match after he thought that he'd win the Cruiserweight Title if he pinned Jodie Fleisch. But Shane Helms broke up the pin and hit him with the Vertibreaker. Jodie Fleisch got to his feet and went for the Pheonix DDT but Shane Helms reversed it into a Northern Lights Suplex and then give him the Vertibreaker for the win. Winner: Shane Helms (14:00) **1/2 JJ Dillon announced that due to Scott Steiners actions earlier in the show he is going to held in a jail cell up until 30 minutes before his match on Sunday to make sure that he doesn't attack Booker T. He said that they have the police out looking for him around the cty at this precise moment and he assured fans that the match will go ahead as planned on Sunday. Backstage Hulk Hogan told Scott Hall that he'd watch his back tonight. Tony Marinara came to the ring with Big Vito and Jonny The Bull, he told Dustin Rhodes to bring his money to the ring. "AMEEERICAN DREAM!" Dusty Rhodes walked out to the ring and asked Tony Marinara how much money he needed. Tony Marinara said that he asked for DUSTIN Rhodes, not Dusty Rhodes. Dusty said that he'd pay him in full whatever he needed. Tony Marinara said that he only took cash. Dusty said that he had the cash backstage - but Dustin Rhodes music hit the speakers and he walked out to the ring with Disco Inferno. He told Dusty not to pay the money and challanged Marinara's boys to a match at the Bash with Disco and himself. Tony Schiavonne commented "Is he crazy?" and Tony Marinara said that time's ran out to make matches. Dustin said that he talked it over with JJ Dillon and they sorted things out. Tony Marinara asked why they should accept it. Dustin Rhodes said that if he loses then he'll pay back tripple what he owes, as long as if he wins then he doesn't have to pay back anything. Tony Marinara accepted it and give him the kiss of death before walking backstage with Big Vito and Johnny The Bull. Dusty Rhodes asks Dustin why he didn't let him pay Tony Marinara the money, but Dustin just walks off with Disco Inferno. Nash, Hall and Vince Russo are having a early celebration for when he becomes Owner Of WCW. Booker T was shown getting medical attention. They asked him if he was ok, he said "Scott hit me with Lead Pipe...". A doctor was shown checking whether Booker T could focus his eyes on his finger. He then walked off looking worried. Sting is interviewed by Gene Okerland. He says that he won the Title "Franchise" of WCW in a match with one of the greatest in the game - Ric Flair. He says that at the Great American Bash he will defend his "Title" because the Title means that he is carrying the legacy of all of the greats like Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair himself and every single Wrestler that made WCW what it is. He says that he will carry the Title with pride and defend the honour of WCW at the Great American Bash. The doctor was shown in JJ Dillons office. He told Dillon that Booker T may have suffered a mild concussion, JJ Dillon asked whether Booker will be able to fight at the Great American Bash, the Doctor said that if JJ Dillon wanted him to fight then he could fight... but it may cause long term damage. WCW Tag Team Title Match Sabu/Rob Van Dam (w/Bill Alfonso) d. Mark Jindrak & Chuck Palumbo by DQ (7:05) 3/4* Mark Jindrak & Chuck Palumbo brought the NBT out with him and they spent most of the match trying to injure one of the members of Sabu/Rob Van Dam. In the end they were disqualified but they just continued the attack after the bell until Referees filled the ring. Mike Sanders picked up a microphone and said "See you at the Bash! Palumbo & O'Haire are going to be OUR New Champions!" Tony Schaivonne said that James J. Dillon was going to make an announcement about the match on Sunday between Booker T and Scott Steiner at the end of the show. Scott Steiner was shown getting held down and arrested by 8 police officers, he screamed "BOOKER, I'M GONNA GET YOU ON SUNDAY!!!"! DDP Vs Scott Hall - Double Count Out (7:54) 1/2* DDP and Scott Hall fought for a while but Kevin Nash walked out to the ring but Hulk Hogan came out to stop him. Vince Russo then ran out to the ring with a Baseball Bat but Hulk Hogan grabbed him for a Double handed choke slam... but Nash took him down and Vince Russo hit him twice with the Baseball Bat. Vince Russo went to walk down to the ring as Nash beat on Hulk Hogan, but Eric Bischoff ran out and hit him with a Chair and they started to Brawl. DDP and Scott Hall then joined in the brawl on the outside with DDP helping Russo and Scott Hall helping Eric Bischoff until Kevin Nash leaving Hogan knocked out on the entryway ran down to the ring and attacked Eric Bischoff and DDP as DDP & Scott Hall were coutned out. The cameras then went to James J. Dillon in his office. "I am sad to announce that I have been informed by some sources that Booker T has suffored a mild concussion from an attack made by Scott Steiner earlier this evening. I have had to consider a lot of factors when coming to the decision of whether Booker T should fight at the Great American Bash this weekend and it is my duty to inform all WCW fans that Booker T WILL defend his World and United States Titles this weekend at the Great American Bash, live on Pay-Per-View....."
