Hello, My name is Stephen Popick, and I am one of 15 people who are trying to keep this forum and site going.  Needless to say, its a major reorganization, but we've got quality people ready to help

 

We just need money

 

If you all, the smarksforum members/readers/posters can come up with 99 dollars for the first month, i will pay the 99 dollar setup fee

Also, should you open a paypal account, follow their instructions on how to get a free 5 dollars.  This can be your donation to keeping smarks alive, and it costs us and you nothing

 

All you need is a checking account to verify your paypal account.

 

Once my paypal account reaches 99 dollars, myself and mike will purchase the server and its usage for a month.  Mike will then search for clients to host off of our server for 10 a month.  it is very likely that we will be running at no cost within a month to two months

Threads are to be moved by the mods based on the first post in the topic.

 

Regardless of how many hits the WWF folder gets...it is the WWF folder.

Ok, well as the head of the new board, (Me,X-smarksadmin) i think it should probaly belond wherever the people are so they know about it.  if someone only reads post in WWF they will never see it,  we either do this or board will die.

Hey guys, you might want to pin this thing to the front page.  It's already on page two (as of 4/9/02 9:55pm CDT).  I think anyone who really wants this forum to stay operating should contribute.  I am going to as soon as I stop writing.

I am just curious, has the PayPal idea worked?  I am very suprised that I have seen nothing either way in any of the forums on this since last night.

we currently have 112 dollars in the paypal account, not counting my backing up of the server fee

...alot of people are waiting for their checking accounts to be confirmed...once that happens i expect about 100-200 more

 

my goal is to have 300 in that account so we can function for 3 whole months without clients...by 3 months we should be self-sufficient
