Guest PhantMan Report post Posted December 5, 2003 1992 - Ric Flair has taken by storm the WWF. The former WCW champion, with the aid of manager Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, has demonstrated to be The Man. It's pretty much a given the next step is Hulk Hogan's WWF title. After a year or so of great bouts (Steamboat/Santana/Von Erich), credible brawls (Undertaker/Barbarian) and defining moments (the debut on Prime Time Wrestling and the hiring from former champion Ted Dibiase), Ric Flair got included by president Jack Tunney into the 30 men Royal Rumble. The winner, of course, gets a title shot at the WWF title at WM. Hogan's hatred for Flair has reached new levels. Flair's constant bitching about being the REAL world champion has gotten on the champ's nerves. Just a week before the ppv, Flair burned a Hulk Hogan poster taken from a fan. That alone put the Hulkster on the alert. Other possible winners? Sid Vicious - as popular as Hogan is with the fans, Vicious has got that special It that puts him in the run for the gold. Roddy Piper - He hates Flair... He Scares Flair. Undertaker - Set to become one of the most popular wrestler in the fed after his turn on Prime Time Wrestling and the betrayal Paul Bearer gave him. Now he's a lonely man. 1992 royal rumble - The Beverly Bros. beat the Bushwhackers. - El Matador beat The Berzerker. - IC champ The Mountie beat Bret Bart. After the match, Mountie hits Hart several times with a steel chair. paramedics take Hart to the hospital. - Hulk Hogan cuts a promo about little kids, vitamins and hoping Sid wins the Rumble so the two can have a professional match, unlike that coward Flair. - WWF tag team champs The Road Warriors beat the Nasty Boys. - Ric Flair earns a title shot at WM when Hulk Hogan, interfering during the final minutes of the rumble, accidentally clothesline Sid Vicious over the top rope.
