Just to recap this

WCW Title History (by # of reigns)

Hogan-5 (I'm not counting the fake title he was given by Russo)

Savage-4

Flair-8 (two One night reigns)

Sting-6

Those are the four biggest names WCW had in it's history and that spanned about 10 years.

Look at this..

Jeff Jarrett-4 (all in one fucking MONTH)

Booker T-5

Scott Steiner-1 (dispite being MORE over then half the roster for three years)

Kevin Nash-4 (TWICE HE LITERALLY HANDED THE BELT OVER!)

In One fucking year, Jeff Jarrett, Booker T each equaled Hogan and Savage's # of reigns and if WCW lasted about 6 more months...Booker would have been a TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN time WCW Champion.

Russo was never reconigized by the sites I checked...but I do recall him with the belt...

Just cause there were only 3 title changes doesn't mean that those title changes weren't poorly done. Angle/Brock WM 19 certainly could have been done better and they actually managed to goof on such a natural storyline between two amateur wrestlers of different size and styles. The Kurt Angle Comeback Win ™ was underwhelming as they botched his return in a way only the WWE can (which is, give the fans hope with a kickass video package and then have Kurt and Brock be bestest friends forever and ruin another gimmie). They tapped Brock out at SS without giving it any hype at all and then had him win on TV in a match hyped very little and in-the-end he was just another evil heel cheating to win.

The purpose of long title reigns and infrequent title changes is to give the belt value. What they did with it this year did anything but, in my view. Hell, the best thing they did was give a tale-of-the-tape which they botch most of the time by putting stupid things like "Battlerapped half the locker room" and doing it sporadically.
