Guest Shawn Report post Posted April 9, 2002 RAW IS... NITRO. I truely believe that Flair will turn RAW into Nitro within the following months or however long this split lasts. Lets just take a look at the appearance of RAW... The symbol - New metal-ish letters. The first thing that made me think about this. I know the Nitro logo was different but that is just one subtle little change. The ugly crap on the stage - Nitro had a kinda cool WCW symbol that they'd walk through but the one for RAW last night was a piece of crap. What was that supposed to be? Now this is early in the transformation so I don't have many things to point out but just watch the next RAW and compare it to Nitro in your head and try to catch the similarities. Guest Report post Posted April 9, 2002 They never walked through the WCW letters. It was just a thing on the side. But did you get a look at that faggoty puprle stuff near the entrance? That is so damn ugly
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 9, 2002 Shawn, what makes you think Flair has the book for RAW?
Guest Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Just for the Record, I like RAW's new Stage. Gives it something new and Fresh. If Anything, they should go back to the old smackdown set.

Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 10, 2002 The symbol - New metal-ish letters. The first thing that made me think about this. I know the Nitro logo was different but that is just one subtle little change. Yeah but look at: Doesn't the lettering used in these look just like the Nitro font used for wrestler entrances and stuff, only in white instead of black? And the set does look like a WCW PPV or something.
Guest KoR Fungus Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Bah, I like the set. It's not up there competing with WMX7's for best set ever or anything, but it's neat looking and a nice change. Change is good right now, and I like the whole new package, with the new set, the new intro and the new logo. Freshens things up. Now if they could only freshen up the actual in-ring product. :\
Guest Shawn Report post Posted April 10, 2002 My god. Some of the stuff in those pictures (font mainly) remind me of crap off of my WCW vs nWo game (the only thing I have left of WCW). It's good to know that I'm not the only one seeing this stuff. I bet that in a month or two, there will be "RAW Girlz" dancing. You laugh now but just wait and see... Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I definitely see it in the lettering. It reeks of the pseudo-futuristic, jagged, metallic look WCW kept for most of their logos and graphics. Let's just hope that Hacksaw Jim Duggan doesn't start doing the wrestler introductions...
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I've no problem with the new lettering and sets, but as for the program itself? It's gone from "RAW is WAR" to "RAW" to "RAW is BORE". I'm actually surprised nobody's made that lame joke before
Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I've no problem with the new lettering and sets, but as for the program itself? It's gone from "RAW is WAR" to "RAW" to "RAW is BORE". I'm actually surprised nobody's made that lame joke before I just thought no one made that joke anymore simply because it is old and out dated now, lol. But seriously, yes, I've noticed how RAW looks somewhat like Nitro in some ways here and there. Even the errors on RAW last week took me back in time... ...ah yes, the good ol' bad ol' days, I miss em! I just hope they push Booker T as a Main Event face soon, that would make it look much more like Nitro, and for the better!
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I just hope they push Booker T as a Main Event face soon, that would make it look much more like Nitro, and for the better! I think they pretty much have to push Booker T as a main-eventer, although I doubt they'd turn him face. There's really a shortage of star power on RAW, and him being a 5-time (count 'em!) WCW champion and one of the bigger names in the inVasion saga (even if it was just as a dignified jobber) means he already has a character, somewhat. By the way, what happened to the Book after Goldust ran into the Hardcore title match? It's pretty obvious that they used Goldust as cannon fodder because they might start trying to push Booker and make him look credible again, but did he just get clotheslined out of the ring and leave off-camera or something?
