Guest spman Report post Posted April 10, 2002 This doesnt really fit in any other folder, so I figured I'd just post it here The Torch is reporting that Bret Hart is going to appear on a Televised Seiance Special where he hopes to communicate with Helen and Owen. You can read the article here http://www.prowrestlingtorch.com/cgi-bin....9_17666

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 10, 2002 What the fuck happened to this guy? I know what happened to him but everyone has trajedy in their lifes and most don't go stark raving crazy.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Man, that's low, I mean that's pretty cheap... unless he actually believes in the stuff, but even if he did, why would he put it on TV? Bret Hart was one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, but... well... can you say "pissing away a legacy"? I can't believe he's THAT hard up for media attention, he never seemed like the kind of guy who would act like that.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 10, 2002 well.uh.hmm.gee. ok I don't know what to say.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I thought Bret stopped snorting crack.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Bret Hart has always craved attention. It showed in the WWF. One of Bret's weaknesses was that he always cared what the fans and media thought of him......
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 can you say "pissing away a legacy"? IMO, he already did that...
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 It's kinda weird to see Bret take that type of stuff to TV. I don't know if he expects Owen to say Vince forced him to.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Man, he is gone. What happened to him? It's sad wathcing him slowly descend into madness. He needs to go to a shrink and get some serious help.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Jesh, I don't know what to say. Either Bret has just lost his mind or the concussion really got to him.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Damn Goldberg really screwed this guy's head up.
Guest Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Can't believe he's putting it on T.V., but if it helps him grieve, I have no problem with it. I'm still very skeptical about it all. Something tells me that the concussion may have indeed have something to do with it.
Guest Report post Posted April 10, 2002 What they forgot to report on was that Owen will be describing how Vince McMahon, Sr. is holding him down in favor of pushing bigger wrestlers like Andre, Bruiser Brody and Terry Gordy in Afterlife Chanmpionship Wrestling. He might get at a shot at reforming his tag team with Yokozuna and go for the belts at Purgatory Havoc in May against the current champs, "Ravishing" Rick Rude and "Gentleman" Chris Adams. Bret will also be trying to locate his dead credibility.
Guest ZGangsta Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Poor, poor Bret. That is all I can say about that.
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Hart may be going crazy, IMO. But it's not all his fault. 1) It all began with Pillman dying. It takes time to grieve over a family friend, not months. 2) Later, Hart felt betrayed(correctly) by McMahon. 3) WCW put him in stupid angle after stupid angle. 4) Not THAT long after Pillman dies, Owen dies. 5) Goldberg gives Hart a concussion, damaging 10% of his brain. 6) Hart is forced by his injury to retire. This has got to make someone as dedicated as Hart VERY upset. 7) Hart, being maybe TOO nice. Forgives Goldberg. IMO, he didn't express enough anger, which leads to his decaying state. 8) His mother falls into a coma and soon dies. 9) He may have done drugs to get over the pain over losing Owen and/or Helen. 10) His wife divorces him. This man has damaged health, emotional problems, and too much stress. He needs help. Vince should do something IMO.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Poor guy, when you compared him from the Hart Foundation days to his WM13 match, he looked the same. Ever since Montreal, he's had tons of problems and aged so much over 4-5 years than he did in 10 years.
Guest thebear Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I don't think it's something to be insulting him... It's obvious this is going to hurt his credibility... I don't know... He was my favorite growing up... But I lost track of him when he went to WCW... He needs to let some stuff go... and Let his life move on... He has alot of shit going for him right now... He's helping get the WWA on it's feet... He's finally got time to spend with his family and kids... If he really wants to make an impact on wrestling, he should start training a new breed of calgary boys...
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Well this show he's on is going to run parallel to RAW, so maybe Bret is trying to prove he's STILL bigger than Vince McMahon.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Vince should do something IMO. Why should Vince be responsible? The people who should do something is the rest of his family. They should get over ostracizing him over money and get him some help. At this point, if Vince even tried to help the guy by paying some bills to get him help or whatever, it would only be a matter of time before it got online and teased about. The Hart family is nowhere near living on food stamps. They can afford to get one of their own what he needs to piece what's left of his life together. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Who wants to bet that Bret comes out of this even more messed up and delusional then before? "Owen told me that Vince was the one who cut the cable to drop him from the roof. Vince did it just to get back at me!"
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Aynone think we will hear one of the following lines at some point in the show: Bret screwed Bret Vince screwed Bret Earl screwed Bret
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Vince needs to talk this out with Hart in private, not in the damn ring. Maybe then, Hart can get on with his life and heal mentally and physically.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Vince needs to talk this out with Hart in private, not in the damn ring. Oh please. The only thing Bret will want to hear from Vince's mouth is "I was wrong" and vice versa. The fact that they were talking prior to WrestleMania supposedly is good, but it no way buries the hatchet. I think trying to end that feud is like trying to stop the tides. What Bret needs is more along the line of a psychiatrist.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 10, 2002 What I want to know is, how many of you people are going to watch it?
Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Bret has been through a lot since 1997. People he was friends with died (Pillman, Rude), his mother and his brother died, he was screwed over by a man he trusted more than anyone - he said that his relationship with Vince McMahon was liks a second father so it's understandable that he would take it so hard, his career was ended with a kick to the head, he got 10% brain damage from the kick to the head and his wife divorced him. I think that you'd find it hard to get over things like that. 4 people you know dying and a career that you love being ended. Not only that but then your sister brings out a book full of lies and half-truths which spends every other page putting down Bret, she never says one good thing about Bret but she says a lot of good things about Davey Boy Smith (who supposedly raped her) and Dynamite Kid (who taught him how to rape her). Yet Bret's the bad guy... yeeeah. By The Way, if you've brought that book remember one thing, Diana Smith is trying to get a job with the WWF. She said she was trying to get a job with them so I think that there is a few motives to this book.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 10, 2002 "What I want to know is, how many of you people are going to watch it?" NO chance, man. I actually get saddened by how pathetic he has become. At the last WWA ppv, I wanted to cheer for him so hard but couldn't. It's time the Hitman disappeared from the public life for good.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted April 10, 2002 when did bret hart get divocred and why?
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted April 10, 2002 No way am I going to watch this. It would be the biggest cringe-fest ever, especially since I sort of grew up watching this guy. He comes off reasonably well in his columns, but this is just too much.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 10, 2002 Raw would really have to suck that night for me to watch it, but I might be willing to see a tape if someone gave me a copy. I've got to think this is due to the concussion. He has to have had permanent brain damage to do something like this.
