CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 There are people that are argueing with the OU/LSU spread. People are saying OU doesn't have a chance in hell of beating LSU and can't fathom why they're favored. Honestly....it's funny that on Friday night OU is the "Greatest Team in History!" and on Sunday morning is "The worst team in the country and a big bully with a big head!" Those people will lose their shirts. I can see the spread going down to about 3 or 4 by gametime, which is why I'm waiting to get money down on this game. Oklahoma should win by at least 10. HUGE emphasis on "properly motivated." If they start listening to everyone who is saying that game is an indication of what kind of team they are, they're in big trouble. I like what everyone is saying...."OU is PISSED and are coming to claim what is rightfully there." Be it true or not but they're building OU up as someone that has something to prove and wants to win badly. That makes them so much more dangerous because I'm sure it's the sentiment the team has. And I don't think they are going to take this game lightly at all. As a matter of fact they'll take it more serious than any game this season...even more serious than against Texas. Get ready....it's going to be a barnburner so to speak. Oh and I've also heard that if OU blows LSU out and USC plays a crappy game and barely wins...then OU could just jump to #1 on the AP. I wouldn't bank on it. No AP #1 has ever dropped in the poll after winning its bowl game. They've said that many times in the past, and it's never happened. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I'm not banking it. Anyways I haven't heard many strategies for the Sugar bowl...what do you guys think? Oh and I heard something else funny. Why are USC fans so mad at OU? A few points -OU can't control what is happening. They can't just step out of the game and say "Here you go guys! We played dominantly through the season and lost to a ranked team! Unlike you who lost to an unranked team and you didn't win the conference championship either....you don't have one!" -OU didn't move past them on the BCS....that was LSU. They may just want to ask why LSU jumped past them....

And, once again, I can't blame fans for getting pissed when their team, ranked #1 and having suffered one loss, on the road, in triple overtime, got passed by a team that got blown out by 28 in their last game, and by a team that lost by 12 at home in their only loss. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I'll do two top bowls... Sugar Bowl: OU- Don't do Saturday.... LSU: Play like KSU or better. Rose: USC: Pass like crazy, use your backs, hold up a decent defense. Michigan: Don't show up... no one likes you.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I'm seeing that pretty much OU is still the favorite even after Saturday even amongst you guys. Basically everyone is saying "Be OU...don't be whatever the hell that was on Saturday....and you'll win...." *wipes tear from eye* Yeah Chris I can understand why they are pissed. But all the venom seems to be directed at OU....despite the fact it was LSU who passed them. As a matter of fact.....I've noticed a media bias against OU so to speak. It was like the moment they lost the media was happy as hell and were like "The mighty Sooner giant has been toppled!" and "The big bully was beaten! HAHA!" I wonder what will happen if they win the championship?
