5_moves_of_doom 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Alright, having just had about 21 CD's stolen from me, I'm really not in the state to be thinking outside of just buying those back, but there is one band that I've been meaning to check out for quite some time now, and since they never released any studio albums, it's not so easy. The band, as the title might suggest, is of course the L.A. punk rock band from the late 1970's, the Screamers. Mostly known for being one of the most popular acts ever not to release a studio album, and for being compiled of a ranting/raving singer, a drummer, and (get this, no guitars) two keyboardists, they sounded pretty interesting, and one of those bands that I could sound cool by knowing who they are. Heh. Anyhow, though my tastes are by no means limited to punk, I love most bands out of the genre (pretty much every original punk band aside from oddly enough, the Sex Pistols), and so I was basically just wondering if there was anyone here who could testify to any greatness that this band might have. The "grey-market" album that I was going to go ahead and check out is the 2-disc "In a Better World," but before I did I just wanted to check here and see if anyone liked the album, had heard the album, or hell, had even heard of the band. So pretty much, if you've heard the band -- would you recommend them to me, or no? Any opinions would recieve mucho gratitude...-o, from me. So yeah, thanks to anyone who replies.
