Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Oh God, here we go. CAN WE GO ONE GAME WITHOUT DAMA SPOUTING CRAP ABOUT OU. NOBODY CARES!!!!!!! KSTATE > OU NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! Ummm.......what? They beat them in one game. Ok I'll use your logic. Cal>USC. Because they beat them in that one game. So they're obviously better than them. Yes I can go one post without mentioning OU(read the NFL threads or a thread in another forum) but can you go one post without flamebaiting me? Looks like you can't. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 LSU, USC and OU WERE ALL EQUAL LET IT GO EVERYONE! I'm so tired of hearing about it. The title is split no matter what, it no longer freakin matters! God, just watch the damn games and quit looking for loopholes. Hey I've accepted that LSU and USC are on equal footing with OU. However there are a lot of people on here(see: Anklelock and BPS) that seem to think OU sucks for some odd odd reason. They're basing it all off one game and basically forgetting the rest of the season. And ANKLELOCK can't even give a good reason for why he thinks OU sucks aside from....."Umm.....they lost that one game.....and they got beat badly! What? There was a rest of the season? That they dominated!? Please! They suck! They got beat!" See......he has no logic in his hate aside from trying to flamebait me.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Hmm......if K-State gets it handed to them in this game then that may just prove that the Big XII title game was an abnormality and a fluke. B/c let's face it.......OU is 10x better than Ohio State. I don't know...out of the 4 ranked team games they played, they went 2-2. However they only lost by 4 in both games(vs Texas and Oklahoma State) while just trouncing Nebraska(38-9) and Oklahoma(35-7) so if they won those 2 games that they lost by 4, they could've easily been 13-1. Odds are it probably was a fluke but I wouldn't completely write them out. Well it's just looking at the way OU played there entire season and then watching the way they played in that game it just doesn't fit together. That's why I keep thinking it was a fluke. They didn't play like they normally do. Then again Snyder knows OU like they're his own team and he's been getting closer and closer to beating them every year so it was basically a matter of time before they beat OU. Another TD by Ohio State?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Then it's simple Dam, present some statistical evidence to prove to them that OU doesn't suck. If all they can come up with flamebaiting, then they obviously have no legs to stand on.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Then it's simple Dam, present some statistical evidence to prove to them that OU sucks. If all they can come up with flamebaiting, then they obviously have no legs to stand on. There is no statistical evidence that OU sucks! The statistics back them up as being one of the best teams in the country! And the "they didn't play anybody good argument" is crap b/c they had the highest strength of schedule out of everyone. So no there is no statistical evidence that OU sucks. About the only reason you can think OU sucks is if you: A) Blindly hate them B) Have only seen the K-State game and think that is an indication of how they really play. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Jesus K-State......drop the kickoff return. Play some god damned football or you're going to get walked all over. As it was you were probably the favorite for the Big XII championship next year. But if you lose this game and OU wins the National Title you will fall again. Play like you can K-State. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Oklahoma AVERAGED 35 points more then their opponents in their wins. Won by 30+ in 4 games, 40+ in 2 games, 50+ in 1 game and 70+ in 1 game. LSU AVERAGED 27 points more then their opponents in their wins. Won by 30+ in 3 games, 40+ in 2 games. USC AVERAGED 26 points more then their opponents in their wins. Won by 30+ 1 game, 40+ 1 game. Clearly, the most dominant team was Oklahoma. In terms of ranked opponents(I don't know who was ranked when, I'm basing it on the teams ranked now). USC only faced 1 ranked team, #15 Washington State and went 1-0. LSU faced 3 ranked teams(#11 Georgia(twice), #17 Florida, #16 Mississippi) and went 3-1. Oklahoma faced 3 ranked teams(#5 Texas, #21 Oklahoma State and #8 Kansas State) and went 2-1. Looking at that, Oklahoma and LSU are easily more deserving of a National Championship then USC. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Meh. I think people are just pissed off that OU failed to win their conference title game and yet still goes on to the national title game. It's like you lose a NFC title game but since you played better than most teams in the NFC in the season, they put you in the Super Bowl. That's how most look at it. I'm a USC fan, and Im not making a big deal out of it. USC won a piece of the title. OU/LSU will win the other half.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Just heard my first "K-State losing big gives USC a better case" comment on the telecast. I was wondering if they'd mention that. Not really. I think it just lends more credence to the argument that K-State's victory was a fluke and that OU wasn't playing like they should have been. Based off the rest of the season that is. Yes but looking at OU's season bitch slapping teams that were better than K-State makes the win look like more of a fluke than anything. And K-State is back in this game. And as the commentators said "Gentleman, we finally have ourselves a bowl game."

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Ya jinxed 'em just like ya jinxed Texas Dam... So am I supposed to be rooting against my normally hated rivals? I have to cheer for the Big XII though! Dammit......everyone I want to win loses. Let's take a look at my track record over the past few weeks. I want OU to win the Big XII. Doesn't happen. I want Michigan to win....doesn't happen. I want OSU to win....doesn't happen. I want The Patriots to lose...that's not happening. Jesus.....I'm a curse.
