Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 10, 2002 I don't really have a clearcut favorite for this one. I loved the Warzone CAW, WM 2000 and No Mercy CAWs but I didn't really get into the other CAWs because my interest in wrestling games has waned.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I cannot say I have a clearcut favourite either. I pretty much like something different about each of them. I enjoyed the theme music selection in WWF Attitude, as it had a ton of songs to choose from, and some of it just work perfectly with the gimmicks some of my CAW's had. No Mercy's CAW system was simple and I was able to create a ton of different wrestlers on it. I was able to stick 4 jobber CAW's in one spot, thus allowing me more space for the CAW's I would use more often. I really just kind of enjoyed the fact that I could create so many wrestlers in that game. It helped give the game more variety. The Smackdown 2 + 3 CAW's are probably the CAW's I most enjoyed creating because I can play around some, and get some rather unique characters simply by playing around. Unfortunately, I can only create like 12 of them in the game, so the space is very limited, which causes me to delete the ones I dislike every so often. Smackdown 3 also seems to have more music choice for wrestlers, problem is that most of it sounds like generic rock music that comes off sounding the same. Ideally, I wish they could have the music choice of WWF Attitude, the CAW spots of No Mercy, and the CAW appearance choices of Smackdown 2 + 3. Ah well. I can dream, I guess. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Smackdown 2 was fun because I could create all of the Alliance wrestlers, but I lost interest in the game just as I did with alot of other games. I think the CAW in the first Smackdwon sucked badly because there was not a lot of variety. I never even got into the Smackdown 3 CAW so I can't comment on it. I have fond memories of Warzone because it was the first game tht let you make your own wrestlers. I tried to make a lot of wrestlers that were absent from the game as well as the old school wrestlers. The movesets could have allowed more freedom though. Attitude had decent music and entrances and stuff but that was about it. That game was a huge letdown because I looked forward to it so much and it didn't live up to my expectations at all. I tried playing a multiplayer game of it and we just stood there blocking and taking turns landing moves. It was like some kind of horrible chess match. Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Fire Pro Wrestling D on the Dreamcast has the best caw section. It has no music or video, but the range of moves, physiques, clothes, faces, colours (skin and clothes) makes a very deep re-creation of a wrestler. Plus there's also over 200 spots for created wrestlers (if you have enough vmu's). As for English language games, No Mercy's is the best, but could have done with more clothes to choose from and a better mask selection.

Guest Report post Posted April 14, 2002 FPD all the way, I still don't even know all of the moves on that shit.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Fire Pro Wrestling D looks shitty. Period. I know that graphics don't matter when playing the game, but this topic is about Create A Wrestler. My God, I can't believe anyone said FPD, let alone more than one person. FPD is all gameplay, that is what makes it so good, that is what it's appeal is. Sure, the game has tons of moves, but that isn't necessarily what makes a CAW good. What if you wanted to make a Hulk Hogan CAW? You sure as hell don't need thirty palm strikes or yakuza kicks to do that.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 18, 2002 FPD's appeal to me was the interpromotional matches.
