Ok, not that the LOTR trilogy is over...

The only actor that I actively disliked was Sean Bean. A lot of it was hinged on my dislike of Boromir, but I saw him as a weak link in the cast.

But you have to admit, the scene on the mountain, where Frodo loses the ring, and Boromir picks it up and reluctantly gives it back to Frodo was a pretty good scene in of itself. Showed his inner turmoil of doing his duty to the fellowship, or to his fellow people.

I didn't really like that scene very much. Bean's facial expressions just kind of seem odd to me, I suppose.

Ian Holm. His Bilbo is just a delight to watch on screen. He steals every seen he is in, even those opposite McKellan.

I think Sean Astin also. He really makes you love Sam.

 

I also liked Billy Boyd and Dominic Monoghan as Merry And Pippin throughout all the films.

 

And an honourable mention of my own to Brad Dourif as Wormtoungue.
