If you're thinking about that match as an intro to All Japan, you're barking up the wrong tree.  That's something that should come way later.  People who have never seen All Japan, usually don't "get" that match, and might even say it's boring.

I stumbled upon a review of a match they had in 99 that went almost 50 minutes...so I was curious as to how long this match was.

I stumbled upon a review of a match they had in 99 that went almost 50 minutes...so I was curious as to how long this match was.

Misawa and Kawada have never had a match even approach 50 mins.  Their longest match is 6/3/94, which is 36 mins.

 

Misawa and Kobashi have had matches in the 42-43 min. range, with their 6/11/99 match going 43:40.
