Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted April 11, 2002 It seems like the only show to really benefit from the split is Jakked. Seriously, check out this weekend's matches: Lance Storm vs Sho Funaki Christian vs Hugh Morrus Chavo Guerrero vs Billy Kidman Diamond Dallas Page vs Hardcore Holly It's got Storm, DDP, Christian, and the cruiserweights. AND I DON'T GET THIS SHOW!!! THESE are the matches that should be on Smackdown right now. Am I alone on this opinion?
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I don't get it either. It's tragedy, because Jakked also once in a while has jobbers, as in indy stars and development talent.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted April 11, 2002 kinda furthers my point that the wwf should turn excess into an hour of jakked, which is only wrestling, and a second hour showing 2 or 3 classic matches in entirety
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I get Jakked myself, and I have been loving the talent who they have on there now. Sure, it was fun before, as the occasional entertaining match would happen, but I like the fact that they have some more known midcarders on there now. I just hope they continue to give matches as much time as they used to give matches on Jakked because there have been some rather entertaining main events on there that get more than 2 or 3 minutes. Then again, I guess I am just a Jakked mark.
Guest Report post Posted April 11, 2002 .......SPOILER................... Read some results and err Lance Storm jobs to Funaki. But Hey I like Funaki So I'm not disappointed.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted April 11, 2002 wow...i would think that if those 2 guys faced each other and one had to lose, the universe would collapse under the weight of the paradox. but thankfully, the wwf surprises me & preserves the universe once again. Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I don't get Jakked, but I get Metal.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I love Jakked. The matches don't seem so rushed and the workers on Jakked appear to be working very hard. Did anyone see the Lance Storm/Val Venis match from a week or two ago? That was ***1/2 IMO.
Guest monkey Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Does anybody know if we get Jakked in the UK. I know Livewire and Metal are on but Jakked, any idea which channel and when?
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 11, 2002 .......SPOILER................... Read some results and err Lance Storm jobs to Funaki. But Hey I like Funaki So I'm not disappointed. Read Lance Storm's commentary on his website, he has a funny story about that.
Guest swan Report post Posted April 11, 2002 I don't get it either. It's tragedy, because Jakked also once in a while has jobbers, as in indy stars and development talent. Remember Jacked and Metal are the same show with different voiceovers.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Does anybody know if we get Jakked in the UK. I know Livewire and Metal are on but Jakked, any idea which channel and when? Jakked and Metal are the same shows, except they have different announcers. They show the exact same matches.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Does anybody know if we get Jakked in the UK. I know Livewire and Metal are on but Jakked, any idea which channel and when? Metal has the same matches. Jakked is called Livewire here because Jakked means nothing in UK English. We don't get the same commentary as US Metal has Raven and the Coach and we have Mark Lloyd and Kevin Fucking Kelley. (a cruel and unusual punishment indeed). Like when Heat US had Al Snow and we had Michael Hayes talking about how Terry Gordy could drink the Backstreet Boys under the table, three days after he died. Guest monkey Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Thanks everybody. But can anyone explain why in the UK we get the worst announcers?
Guest Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Yeah, and howcome in America the best announcers arent on tv. (Stevie Ray, Joey Styles)

Also if it is called Livewire there did you get the US version of Livwire when it was on? aAnd do you get two version(Metal/Jakked) liek we do? Like when Heat US had Al Snow and we had Michael Hayes talking about how Terry Gordy could drink the Backstreet Boys under the table, three days after he died. I dont think he meant to disrespect him at all. Who else did you have with Michael?
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Actually, I'm really digging Sunday Night Heat as of right now. It usually has at least one good match wrestling wise & it will occasional show some Smackdown replays. Seeing as how I don't get Smackdown, Jakked or Metal, that is a good thing. I also love Raven as a commentator. If only they could get rid of Coach's ignorant ass.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 12, 2002 In the UK we get Smackdown, Raw, Metal, Livewire, Superstars, Excess and classics. Superstars is purely a recap show. Metal and Livewire are essentially the same show, Classics is old wrestling challenge episodes. At the moment they are up to the first Survivour Series. Raw is delayed by four days ans Smackdown by two. I don't think they care about announcers being split for their overseas shows as they put their most inexperienced guys on them and Kevin Kelley who is awful. I think Gordy wasn't dead when Hayes made the comment but was when it aired. Him and Coach were talking about a Backstreet Boy going into rehab because he drank to much Jack Daniels, and Hayes said something about him Terry and Buddy being able to handle gallons of the stuff. I think they might have done the commentary Tuesday or Wednesday and Gorsy might have died Thursday. BTW that commentary pretty much sums up the standard of announcing on everything but Raw and Smackdown. They ignore the matches and talk about the main shows, shill the big shows and when they've finished that they'll just chat about anything. it's quite funny because they're talking about US current events that mean nothing to a European audience on shows specially catered for that audience. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 12, 2002 WWF classics is great. This week it featured Warrior and Honky Tonk beating jobbers in around a minute each. Hilarious stuff. I *hate* Kevin Kelly
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Heenan and Monsson make it for me, and seeing the guys evolve. That backbreaker Rude did was so lame as a finisher.
