Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 11, 2002 Report Posted April 11, 2002 Jevon Kearse Undertaker in Wrestlemania 2000 Tampa Bay Bucaneers defense from 1999-2001.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted April 12, 2002 Report Posted April 12, 2002 England in almost every football (soccer) game ever. They're always put in the top group with the likes of Brazil and Argentina, even in '94 during Taylor's management.
Guest Posted April 12, 2002 Report Posted April 12, 2002 Overrated as in exagerated ability? If that's the case, then Hogan and Nash were hyped up quite a bit in Revenge, as were Stephanie, Trish, and the other divas in No Mercy.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 17, 2002 Report Posted April 17, 2002 I can't wait to see Micjael Strahan in next year's football games. If Jevon Kearse got so much props after a good rookie season, imagine Strahan's for breaking the sack record.
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I don't think anybody on Revenge except Goldberg was hard. No Mercy though it seemed like almost everyone involved in the main even, even Steven Richards was a pain in the ass to beat. And Detroit's 2000-2001 team
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 What was the deal with Steven Richards in No Mercy? he was all over the heavyweight storyline, and if you played as HHH (the default champ) Richards was the second default champ! And, as mentioned, he was a bitch to beat. Could it be an indication of the WWF's plans for the RTC before it fell apart?
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 They just stuck him in place of the Big Show because the Big Show's fat ass was in OVW or HWA or whatever place they shipped his ass to lose weight.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I got back into No Mercy recently to try to finish off some title paths. I'm doing the Euro title, and in one of the storylines Vince is mad at me, and HHH & Richards come out to challenge me to a triple-threat match. I was thinking "O....................K............"
Guest swan Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 Overrated as in exagerated ability? . Bo Jackson in the original Tecmo Bowl. Just wasn't fair.
Guest DrEvil Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I turned Stevie into Glacier. Another useless wrestler, but at least when he comes out on the main event scene, it good for a laugh rather than an annoyance. Shane is way over-rated on NM, the other day he was reversing everything I threw at him. I had to beat him down with a chair to get the win.
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 denver broncos mike anderson in madden 2002, he had one good year and there he was, one of the top backs in the game --Rob
Guest Redhawk Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 Kurt Warner. He's not the best QB in the league, but he's always rated somewhere between 94 and 98, better than anyone else. Road Dogg in Smackdown 2. He had a stranglehold on the Intercontinental title, and even after I moved him to the Hardcore division he was all up in the main event. Like the main event for a show would be Austin vs. Rock vs. Triple H vs. Road Dogg.
Guest Wonderboy Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 Randy Moss in NFL2K games. HE CATCHES EVERYTHING! Steve Austin, Undertaker, and Mark Henry in Wrestlemania 2000. Deion Sanders in Tecmo Super Bowl. When he would intercept a pass, it was IMPOSSIBLE to tackle him. I understand that he should be a little bit faster than everybody else, but when he'd intercept, I couldn't even get out a "shit" before he scored, just a "s". Dave Henderson in Sports Talk Baseball. Always hits homeruns. And I agree with the Kurt Warner one. In NFL2K2, he completed his pass 98% of the time.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 Anyone who I had trouble beating in Mike Tyson's Punch Out! I never beat the Sandman or Super Macho Man. Oh yes, let's not forget that Tyson fella. As a matter of fact, I'm about to play that game right now and beat his ass. This is a fight 14 years in the making.
Guest ant_7000 Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 I agree Tyson was hard as fuck 2 beat in punch-out and I could beat everybody in the game except him, a tip when fighting him do not let him hit you in the 1st minute of the fight because if lays one punch on lil mac your knock down rest of the fighters except Sandman and Macho Man pretty easy to beat.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 29, 2002 Report Posted April 29, 2002 I know the strategy to beat Tyson, I just can't beat him. I was trying to use the password (007-373-5963) to bypass all of the fighting required to get to him, but the ROM I have is faulty so I couldn't see the password input area. I ended up getting beaten by Soda Popinski in the 3rd round. I think I could probably beat Tyson now, but I have to get to him and I don't know if I have the patience to get my ass beat by Sandman and Super Macho Man.
Guest ant_7000 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Sandman is easy to beat now I trouble fighting him at first avoid his Haymakers in the beginning of 1st round, and Super Macho man is difficult also with his regular tornado punch he stalls at first so you know its and his super tornado punch he does that after you knock him down and does it every time too. so just keep dodging and dont block it until he stops than you pound him
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Thanks for the advice, but it's more of a timing thing. I coudn't beat Bald Bull until I got the timing down. I never got the timing down for Sandman or Super Macho Man. I managed to get the timing down for Tyson enough to be able to make it to the third round with him. Hesitation is something that causes me trouble; I either move to early or don't move soon enough. I just wish this ROM worked so I could just whoop Tyson's ass because I don't have the patience to fight Sandman and Super Macho Man since I only beat Sandman once, sometime in the early 90's I think. I don't remember what the buttons do at the title screen, and I can't see what I am entering when I put in the Tyson code. I still know what it is because I entered it and lost a million times when I first found it. It seemed like it was type in the code, get knocked out, type in the code, get knocked out over and over again.
Guest ant_7000 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 If My NES system didnt burnout I would still play punch-out so can I finally beat Tyson, Damn him for being so hard to beat. lol
Guest Mad Dog Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Yeah Tyson's been a bitch for me too. I can knock him down once or twice during the fight but I usually lose by decision. I was close to beating him last summer but I had to leave to go and work away from home and no video games. And Randy Moss in NFL2K is way overrated. He catches everything. I've almost broken a TV when playing my friend b/c it was so stupid.
Guest converge241 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 as were Stephanie, Trish, and the other divas in No Mercy yeah let me tell you how much i LOVED being on the verge of winning and one of the women frigiin' ko's my guy ..WITH A SLAP!!!!
Guest What?! Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Patrick Ewing in NBA Live 2000. I think he was an Overall 83 or something.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Can't you edit players in Live 2000? I remember playing it at my cousin's house and he would edit players and improve them.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Roster Player #89 for the Bulls on NBA Live 1998.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 The first time I beat Tyson, it was by decision. I've TKO'ed him about 4 or 5 times. Ewing is an 84 on Live 2000. Yes you can edit players. At least on the PC version. On the 64 & PS versions I think you have to burn a create a player spot. The thing I hate about the PS and 64 versions of that game is that there's no cool franchise mode like there is on the PC version. Also, there is a limit on attribute points on 2000, but not 2001. Weird. On 2000, you can create a player with a 99 overall rating, but it has to be a small forward. You'll notice that there are some columns that don't affect your overall rating at all. Just give him 50 n those and 99 in everything else, and 95 in steals, blocks, and both rebounding categories. I think that's it.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 I wasn't aware that Tyson could be beaten by decision. That's good to know.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 I wasn't aware that Tyson could be beaten by decision. That's good to know.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 I beat Tyson only once, and it was by decision as well.
Guest Black Lushus Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Super Macho Man is a bastard motherfucker in Super Punch Out!
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 The bastard referees in NCAA 2K2 have to receive a nod based on all the times I have been screwed by them. They have cost me so many touchdowns with cliping calls that had no impact on the play whatsoever. They also have stifled a lot of my drives with inoppurtune holding penalties. The icing on the cake is the fact that I lost a game because I was trying to stop the CPU from scoring on a game winning touchdown drive and was flagged twice for excessive crowd noise. This isn't a chracter, but the juke move in NCAA 2K2 is some bullshit when used by the CPU as well. If you are trying to play against a decent CPU team with a team that has defense that is less than great, you can forget any hope of making a one-on-one tackle.
