Guest Boo_Bradley Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I watched a episode of the X Files at 2 am last night, it was from the early seasons, and Mulder was chasing an arsonist, with the help of his british exgirlfriend. Any ways, during the show, a key plot point was that Mulder is/was afraid of fire. Was this just a one time storyline that was dropped? Or did it play into future episodes at all? *Awaiting X Files Season 1-2 in the mail*
AmericanDragon Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Mulder's afraid of fire? I don't remember that from any episode.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Episode 12 synopsis and notes: An old Oxford girlfriend of Mulder's asks for his help in an international case concerning the unexplainable execution of several British dignitaries and they encounter an assassin who can produce fire from his bare hands. Notes This is the second episode to provide character development as we learn a bit about Mulder's past: His rocky relationship with fellow Oxford student Phoebe Green (where they shared a certain "youthful indiscretion atop the tomb of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), and that Mulder is deathly afraid of fire. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 That ep was called "Fire" was in the First Season and was a bit uneven. The show would truly find it's voice till Seasons 3-4, even though there was a lot of pretty good stuff in the first two seasons... it's fairly simplistic compared to what would come later.
Guest Just J Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I remember the episode and like Rob said, it was just forgotten.
