Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Since we now know for sure that Kurt Angle will be comeing back full time sometime around the Rumble (Which I don't agree with at all), what do you think he'll be doing? With the top heels (Brock and Big Show) busy with Benoit, Cena and (ug) Holly (The top faces-and Holly) that sort of leaves Angle out in the cold. Will he just kind of hover around the top of the card with no purpose (which, around Rumble time isn't THAT bad) for a little while? Will he go to Raw? Will he join this overloaded Brock scene? Angle/Mysterio is SO SO SO not what I meant when I said "big match" Where the HELL did you get the idea that a match that curtain jerked a show that featured Booker/Goldust vs. The UnAmericans would be a major match at Mania? Angle/RVD, Big Show, Eddy and Cena all scream "3rd match on the show" andAngle/Benoit, Jericho, would just keep both in the match lower than they should be. Have Benoit/Lesnar II at Rumble...and Have it go to a Draw. Angle makes his TRIUMPHANT return at Rumble and is the last Smackdowner left (if Raw wins) or is the outright winner of the rumble... So Angle has his arguement that he should face Brock for the WM Rematch...Benoit never lost in his two matches with brock and has made him Tap TWICE. Each men are considered Viable challengers. Brock agrees to settle things once and for all with Hardcore Holly in an Non-Title Steel Cage Match. Benoit/Angle have another 35 minute classic with Benoit winning... Angle is pissed and Paul Heyman offers Angle a golden opportunity...To Represent Smackdown in a SPECIAL Raw Vs Smackdown Interpromotional Match... Kurt is iffy about this...expecting a trick here from Heyman. Angle asks why him and Heyman honestly answer "Because you are the best representive Smackdown has to offer" and that the winner of the Match wins the prestigous $10,000 bet he made with Eric Bischoff. Angle wonders if he gets a cut of the money and Heyman laughs but offers him the FIRST title shot for the WWE Title after Mania. Angle Agrees. The Next Raw...Eric Bischoff states how important the 10 Grand bet is but more importantly to show that Raw is the better brand. Against all his feelings of hatered for the man, He decided that the best representive of Raw is...HBK. HBK toys with Eric but loves the idea of representing Raw at Mania...and loves the idea of wrestling a Gold Medalist in MSG. Each Men have the right to visit the other brand but not compete on the show...The next Smackdown...Shawn arrives at The Smackdown Show and walks in on Kurt's Workout and they shake hands and say how much respect they have for each other and how excited they are to get this chance at WM. This establishes that they have respect for each other. Next Raw...Angle arrives and Interupts Shawn's Motivational speech to a couple youngsters (let's say Cade and Jyndrak) and Angle talks about how much Inspiration Shawn was for Angle and how he learned from studying Shawn..Shawn Blushes. Kurt wishes Shawn well on his match later tonight against Matt Hardy and says they should go out for drinks later. Shawn agrees. Angle is seen watching the match backstage and is "studying". Shawn wins with the traditional "Shawn" match... Shawn looks for Angle but They say Angle just left the arena. Shawn is confused but shrugs. Angle is seen in the dressing room watching Raw with Shawn and has 4 other tapes on top of the VCR...All Labeled...With an *inside* wink...They say "Shawn-Mind Games". "Shawn-WM12". "Shawn/Jericho". This shows Angle is studying Shawn at his PEAK...watching him in all sorts of environments (brawling, WRESTLING, ETC, ETC)...Random Midcarders (let's say Spanky and London) walk in on Angle and Angle quickly turns the tv off. Angle says a few words and quickly leaves but not before grabbing the tapes and putting them in a bag. Shawn arrives and mingles with Bradshaw when Kurt walks by him. Shawn chases after Kurt... "Hey, Kurt!" "Oh Hey, Shawn...What's Up?" "Came to see what's Up? "Nothing...I just gotta go see Heyman about something, so see you later man" "All right. cool. Later". as Angle walks...He bumps into Orlando Jordan and one of the tapes falls out...Shawn notices and picks it up as it reads "Shawn's Collection"...Shawn figures it out that Angle's studying. With two weeks left...Angle returns to Raw and as Shawn is in the gym working out...Angle comes in and starts working out...The idea is that Angle subtley forces the issue that he is stronger and quicker then Shawn. Shawn notices this and we see a look on his face that shows he knows he can't match up with Kurt in the athelticism aspect. Kurt does commentary on Shawn's match with Test...During the match...Kurt oddly says "MMM" in happy way and Ross catches this and asks about it but Kurt ignores him. What is it? Kurt has found a "weakness" in Shawn. With one week to go, Kurt Cuts a Promo on Raw after "requesting" and "buying" time from Bischoff...about how it's time for Kurt to finally put away The legend of the Heartbreak kid because Shawn, you have a weakness in you...that I WILL EXPLOIT". Shawn cuts an "Im not done yet kid" promo. Staredown. Mania Time. Shawn/Kurt go 30 minutes with Kurt seemingly exploiting Shawn's weakness (Whatever that might be)...Kurt Wins via Inside Cradle. The Benoit character has blown, one way or another EVERY SINGLE big shot he has had. If he fights for the belt again he MUST win. He blew it against Rocky multiple times. He blew it against Austin multiple times He blew it against Angle He blew it against Brock. fans are going to start saying "fuck this" if he walks away from another hyped match without the belt.
