Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Only winning by 14 with a quarter left to play, isn't this a tad pre-emptive?

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Well it wasn't by 14, it was by 7. But I pay my respects to LSU. Great job guys. *bows*
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Great game, both LSU and USC deserve the title. Would I like to see another game? Hell yes. Am I upset I won't? Hell yes Can I live with LSU and USC winning? Kind of a cop out, but sure.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Well, this year, an LSU-USC bonus "undisputed championship game" would seem to solve all the problems, but I really hope that's not what they would make as a permanent solution. There would be just as many scenarios where that would be a problem. For instance, look at last year... Ohio State beat Miami to become the only undefeated team remaining and the clear-cut national champion... Why should they have to play another game? And who would they play? I wish they would just pick a system and stick with it. Nothing is ever going to be perfect outside of a postseason tournament, like basketball (or EVERY SINGLE OTHER DIVISION OF NCAA FOOTBALL), but unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it will ever happen. I just think that changing the system almost every year starts to cheapen things.
