Everyone and their mother interfered against Austin at Vengence and He was under the ropes against Angle, so as to not lose heat or credibility.

Good point, I think guys like Warrior, Hogan,Andre and 'Taker did few jobs-and if they did, they tended to be to one another.

 

Guys who had undefeated streaks for obvious reasons, Goldberg for example. One that hasn't been mentioned though has to be Tatanka! He had a long undefeated streak, (correct me if i'm wrong, or thinking of someone else for that matter) and generally just wrestled jobbers. I have a crappy memory but one of his only losses which I remember was to Luger-and that was a screwy countout.

Yes,Tatanka was undefeated for what I can remember close to a year,but all he did was pretty much wrestle jobbers and he never cleanly won a big match.

I'd say Unforgiven counts as clean.  Under the ropes or not, Austin still tapped.

Clearly Austin being under the ropes was an indication that Austin had issues with jobbing to Angle.

Otherwise, Austin would have tapped like a bitch in the middle of the ring.

pre-RR 94 and post-IYH4 Nash jobbed a lot.

Tatanka was actually undefeated for around 1 1/2 to 2 years. He debuted around early-mid 92 and lost his first match in a screwjob to Ludvig Borga in October(??) 93. It was late 93, I know. And true he did beat mostly jobbers, but he beat Shawn Michaels by DQ at WM9, pinned him in a six man tag, and pinned him in a non-title match. I was a Tatanka mark back then if it's not already quite obvious.

Are you thinking about Summerslam 98?  This was their first real feud I think and then since then it has been all attitude and run-ins and screwjobs.

Didn't Austin cleanly beat The Undertaker cleanly in the summer of 1999 and I think of the summer of 1998 is definitely part of the "Attitude" era.

I know they had a match at over the edge 99 where the undertaker walked out with the title but I don't know if taker returned the job to austin or not.

I believe he did it was in like July on WWF Raw and I believe he jobbed cleanly.
