Just picked up Eternal Darkness...

Got it for $12.99 at GameStop. The guy at the counter was like "This game is gonna mess with you".

 

It's very dark, lots of cinema scenes. Worth playing? Please, NO SPOILERS if it is.

Yeah I read some great reviews on here that said I should get the game...it's pretty good so far.

 

The battle is a little slow, but it's cool, if confusing.

You know what, this game sucks. I saved it and it shows an "Empty" slow. Plus, it's incredibly dark, and the characters fighting styles, when you CAN see, thus far consist of "cut off the head, slash, finish".

UTSU, I hope you didn't choose the Red symbol in the first level. That kinda notches up the difficulty and could make it not fun. Though it seems you have problems with the story and "dark" aspect of it. It ain't gonna get any lighter, so you might as well sell it to someone who will appreciate it.

 

That being said, ED was all kinds of awesome. Great controls, fun gameplay, wicked story, and the funnest insanity effects around.

Good game, get a little repetitive though. Almost every character is the same but just when its about to get tiring it changes and gets you back into it.

 

Pretty good story and reasonably good graphics and gameplay.

I almost got this game with my credit at GameCrazy a few weeks ago, but chose Resident Evil Remake instead. I love that game, and RE2 and Code Veronica are 2 of my top 10 favorite games ever, so I'm guessing Eternal Darkness would be a worthwhile purchase for the $15 they charge for it. Would I be correct in that assumption?

ED is RE with a better story, better controls, and better gameplay. I played RE 0 after finishing ED, and RE was just so played out and boring.

 

Then again, now I might have built up ED a bit too much. *shrugs*

Then again, my "sanity" meter hasn't even been a quarter full in ages in this game. Jeez, kinda like my gas tank.
