Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 12, 2002 I was just wondering if anyone had those replica WWF/WCW belts? I was thinking of getting one....but you know 200 dollars is just WAY to much money. My friend got like a plastic and simulated leather one for 50 bucks and I played around with it. They're kinda cool to hold. Sit there and imagine yourself as champ...cool....and really really sad and pathetic at the same time. So does anybody have one? Oh and what's the difference between the Adult Replica and the Deluxe Replica....besides 150 dollars?
Guest Report post Posted April 12, 2002 The Figures Inc replicas are pretty cool, to tell you the truth. I have the WWF World heavy, The WCW World Heavy (Alliance/Second Edition with Chris Jericho's nameplate), the NWA World, WWF Smokin Skull, WWF Light Heavyweight, and the new WWF UnDisputed World Title on reserve (I got most of em on ebay for like half the price; I couldnt really afford $200 a pop;-). For the money, they are VERY cool. The plates are thinner than the originals (but they are brass, and their gold "plating" is very durable, as well as the belts themselves), but they are VERY durable. They are pretty true-to-life to their television counterparts and generally just cool pieces for any wrestling fan to collect. The absolute "crown jewel" of my collection is my EXACT replica of the older WWF Intercontinental Championship (real leather, thick plates, EXACTLY like the one that Shawn Michales, Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect, Austin, Rock, Savage, and Steamboat held, except the WWF logos are not on it-copyright laws) ordered from the man who used to make them for the WWF, Reggie Parks (the newer belts are made by Joe Marshall, or JMAR). Reggie Park's website is www.midwestwrestling.com Believe me, if you wanna see some of the work/belts he's done, you'll LOVE this site. He's made a LOT of famous belts; the number of them would probably suprise you. Also, in Yahoo! groups, there's a Championship Belt Collectors group that discusses belts and wrestling all the time. That url is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Championship_Belt_Collectors/ Membership is free, and you can set your own personal settings so its pretty cool; feel free to join. The creator of CBC is Brian Kennedy, who works for JMAR belts, and as a matter of fact, posted to pretty cool pics of the new UnDisputed Title. You can also go to JMAR's website, www.beltster.com for "step-by-step" pics of the creation of the new UnDisputed Title belt. They definately can get pricey, so I only bought them when I had the spare cash. It can be "goofy", I'll freely admit that, but at the same time (and I played football for 10 years, baseball for six, basketball for one, and rowed for four years, so I'm not some "anti-sports guy"), people will pay tens of thousands of dollars for a game used-ball or helmet or piece of jersey, so I say "why not" for wrestling fans collecting wrestling belts? Joe P. (p.s. The Deluxe edition of the belts are on real leather, as opposed to the simulated leather of the standard editions.
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted April 12, 2002 I have a replica of the WWF Title Belt (now retired) and I have to say it's one of my most loved possesions. I bought it on the WWF Shopzone for $190 last year. The funny thing is that those guys actually sent me two belts, and I had to return one. But anyway, the belt is great. I'm thinking about getting me a replica for the old IC Belt, but I'm not too sure. So, if you're planning on getting one then I totally recommend it. Peace. Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 12, 2002 I own the now retired WCW World Heavyweight title. I really marvelled with it and played around with it for a couple of days and then it just became a piece of my admiration for wrestling. I'd say it is worth it because it feels like the real thing and it really is magnificent. I'd love to have the retired WWF title and the new Undisputed title but It's too much money. I'd get it just as a nice collecter's item if you could, just be careful which one you choose. Back when I got mine it was WCW or nothing. Geez if you had enough, you could walk around with the WCW, ECW, and WWF World titles. That would make for a couple of cool pics or so.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted April 13, 2002 I got the retired WCW World title. My brother has the US Title. Both are really cool.
Guest FakeRazor Report post Posted April 13, 2002 Those belts are hella cool, but I don't think I'd pay 200 bucks for them. I do have the replica styrofoam WWF title, IC title, and Tag Titles though!
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 13, 2002 Something funny I'd like to do. You know those Pro-Masks? That are like 65 bucks? I'd like to get the Snakeskin Ultimo Dragon mask and show up at school with the WWF World Title.....then again they'd probably send me to counseling...but the looks would be great. Guest Report post Posted April 14, 2002 I noticed they have Deluxe belts at highspots.com . Freakin things are like $350 but are made of real leather and are exact replicas. But unfortunately I don't have that kindof money for a belt.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 15, 2002 What the hell do you do with the belts? I wanted one when I was young and got the plastic one with the sticker. It served it's purpose when my brother and I would pretend we were wrestlers. Now it is just a peice of plastic. I don't know why you guys would fork over the money to have one and play with one. My wish list though would include the old IC belt, the Warrior version of the IC belt (it was yellow) and the old WWF title. Maybe the WCW title too.

It's not really what we "do" with them; its more memerobilia. Its the same reason why people would buy an autographed Diamondbacks bat or a Don Mattingy-signed baseball. Its the same reason I bought an autographed Emmitt Smith card. Im just a fan of wrestling, and what sybolizes wrestling more than the titles, ya know? Plus, theyre great for the history and stuff.
